My first LEGO MOC since i was a wee lad.

Fully RC, including shooting mechanism and gun elevation. It will shoot six projectiles from a magazine.

Please have a look at:

This is a short video of the firing mechanism:

Awesome! The firing mechanism is genius. Maybe add some tracers to the ammo so we can see them better :)

Great creation and your firing mechanism is brilliant and very effective. Would be nice to see it go off road.

Wow.

Great first moc since you were wee lad! :)

Great work. I like the how you used the same color everywhere on top and black on chassis. It suits it.

Maybe it would be better if the video was shorter (5min max)

Thanks for the cool comments guys.

The tank is still a work in progress, i still have several ideas to improve the mechanics and after that, i plan to detail the exterior.

About the video, i agree its too long. It was my first Youtube video, i still need to learn a lot about doing that.

Ow, and yes i am Dutch, I hate my Dutch accent when speaking english :P

I think the video is spot on, this was a diary write-up type video rather than a presentation of a finished piece of work. I think there is a place for both. The tank looks great and like others have said the repeating firing mechanism is excellent.

nice build, does it have rollers around the turret ring ? because that could fix the problem with the wobbly turret when driving .

I was thinking along similar lines, at least it is on my list of improvements i'd still like to make. Thanks for your suggestion. I was thinking about doing it another way, but after your suggestion and imagining how it could be implemented, i see its a better solution.

either rollers of a nice snug fit with tiles will help stabilize it . possibly making the turret smaller would help too.

This is the mark 5-2, which is very similar to the mark 5-1. Technically it is almost the same tank except that i included a turret-ring this time. I did this to give extra stability to the turret; in the previous build the turret was a little too unstable. I also tried to make the turret even smaller. I think this turret is about 30% smaller that the previous one. I believe this is about as small as it can be unless i manage to make the firing mechanism even more compact, which I seriously doubt. Finally, I tried to detail the model a little, although I still have to learn a lot about that, I have always been more interested in technical functions. And I don't really have the right type of LEGO for detailing.

Still a work in progress:

Very very nice tank model! It is a very elegant tank, and the firing mechanism is very smooth! I think I'll stick to small tanks, I'll never be able to produce large ones to this standard

Also I personally enjoyed the video, seeing the history of the making of it, although maybe it could be a tad shorter :classic:

Never say never, when i started i didn't think i could do it as well. And the video yeah, it was my first youtube video, i had no clue, but i learned a lot of things by making it and my next video will be very different. I'll aim to make my next video 2-4 mins.
