The tracks were probably S@H exclusives and had to be shipped from another country that S@H ships to directly, as they don't ship to China.

And you can't just go shipping whatever you want into China, ya know. The "Communist" government has all sorts of pestering, deranged restrictions on commerce. He had to indeed, smuggle them.

I was thinking on the same lines as Bonaparte. I figured the track and accessories were available in Hong Kong too. Especially since the speed regulators are manufactured there. Maybe the 9V track is too. Thanks for the pics Paul, they are pretty crazy. But being a 9V train fan myself, if I found a good deal, I would probably do the same. Model On.

Nah, you don't need to put them in baggies.They come out pretty easily by themselves. The white ones never look the same though. Brown ones are easiest to smuggle.
