Big Sal Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) 2192 AD: The second Blacktron War continues across the solar system. The Space Police have established a network of prison camps hidden in the asteroid belt. Many of the Space Police troopers and Blacktron prisoners will spend the majority of the war stationed or imprisoned in the harsh conditions of these camps: Despite the futility of attempting to escape an asteroid, the Blacktron prisoners still felt a duty to try, and riots were common: Space Police Chiefs were known for their bravery in monitoring the riots from inside their bunkers: Space Policeman Steve and Blacktron prisoner Bertha take advantage of the chaos to continue their secret relationship... After the war ended and the Blacktron prisoners were set free, they both craved the adventure they'd missed out on during the war. Steve signed up to the Explorien mission to Alpha Centauri, where he played an important part in uncovering fossils of ancient alien life. Bertha started a terraforming company which quickly became one of the leading firms in the industry. With the solar system at peace, the old Space Police prison camps were sold off or fell into ruin. With Bertha's fortune, the couple were able to buy the camp where they fell in love. The Interplanetary Conservation Trust ruled that the exterior of the tower should not be altered, as any camps remaining were important historical landmarks. The only exterior change they would allow was replacement of the now dangerous airlock with a simpler door, as long as it was inkeeping with the original style. What they didn't account for was Bertha's terraforming company. The exterior of the camp was left intact, but the asteroid around it was given an atmosphere and turned into a colourful paradise... Bertha sweeps the kitchen - Steve is always bringing mud in from the garden! Up in the tower, Steve tunes in to his favourite show: The old guard robots still have their uses: You can see the whole set on flickr. Enjoy! Edited May 27, 2014 by Big Sal Quote
Mike S Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Excellent space prison! Space police have come a long way since those good old days... Space Police Chiefs were known for their bravery in monitoring the riots from inside their bunkers: Great humor! Quote
SpaceMan Nathan Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Nice build, and great job keeping the original SPII styling. Quote
Lady K Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I love this transformation. A great way to change a previous MOC while keeping with the original style. Quote
