Gabe Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Wow, this is shaping up to be larger than Queens Cross, we already have more participants! I was about to spend my $100 May Lego fund on mass troops from Bricklink, but instead, I may be looking to find some of the pieces to replicate all these warriors coming in! I actually didn't expect the sides to even out either. That was a surprise. Gabe, what are the shields the camel riders have? Also, I am unfamiliar which aftermarket company that makes those helmets. Sadly, I have very few camels... maybe I should get a couple more before the battle. As with Robuko's large forces, I will try to get at least half of yours represented. The shields are Brick TW customs - i bought them in black and hand painted the silver bits. The chrome helms and swords are Brick TW as well. They are really nice accessories, high quality although the helms can get a bit tight. Quote
mccoyed Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Aw man, thanks for that link. I thought I'd found all the custom Lego makers. Quote

qiadris Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 More troops for the glory of the Valkarian Order! The Red Dragon Mercenaries is an ambitious organization of trained and skilled soldiers, renowned for its strict discipline. They have sided with Petera for the promise of wealth. Both infantry and the necromancer will fight hard, as long as they see the battle can be won. Red Dragon Mercenaries infantry Captain Anton Wyles commands a regular Red Dragon infantry squad, with 2 footmen that favor the wide sword and great shield, and 2 crossbowmen. They usually fight with a slow advance (the footmen never charge) and kill enemies with the strong power of the crossbows. Anton can either stay inside the formation and stab nearby enemies with a spear, or stay out of sight and charge enemies that approach the shield wall. These are regular troops; the footmen have low damage and high defense with the great shield and the crossbowmen have low defense but very high damage, but they lack range and accuracy. The captain is slightly better, but not much. If the odds seem unfavorable (over 65% chance to lose) they will try to retreat by slowly backing up, using the same slow advance technique but backwards. Faced with death, the footmen will fight to the last breath to cover Anton's retreat, if possible. Whether Anton is dead or not, does not change their behavior. Parts: Everything is from 2013 castle, except the hear armor on the horse and the captain helmet, from the old castle (6090, I believe) and the spear from CMF Xena, but any spear would do. Red Dragon Mercenaries necromancer Kharkhon the Necromancer is a powerful spellcaster that fights for the Red Dragon Mercenaries, using his magic to raise the dead or summon alien entities. He will usually run with a gang of skeletons (2 archers, 2 warriors) and summon his bound Obisidian Golems before battle. The Skeletons are terrible troops, way worse than average. They have low damage, low speed, low accuracy and low defense; they are simply a nuisance, even though they might land a hit every now and then. New skeletons can be summoned when they die. The Obsidian Golems are just like any regular troop but with incredibly high defense. Summoning golems is exhausting, and can only be used once per battle (if they die, they cannot be used until the next battle). The Necromancer himself is a much better fighter, with good damage with magic bolts and access to a repertoire of spells, most notably Hex, which reduces the size of an enemy for a certain duration. Kharkhon will flee if his minions are defeated at an alarming rate. Parts: Skeletons are easy to come by and any gear on them will work. The golems are nazgul from Weathertop with the old armor from space UFO (6900 and the like). The necromancer is the wizard from Dragon Mountain and the face is the old king from 6090 once more. Elf Assassins Some among the elves would like the plans of the Valkarian Order to come to fruition. One such group is the band of masked assassins lead by Falmoir the Mad, a band of stealthy infiltrators sworn to defend the borders of Avalonia, and view the Valkarian plan as a lasting solution to the current turmoil. Since they fight for the same cause, they have sided with Petera. They are all elite troops that specialize in eliminating high ranking targets. They will fight to the death for the cause they believe in. Parts: Mirkwood Elf Army for the elves with assorted hair, the bandanas come from the Ninjago Hover Hunter (they don't need those in particular, what matters is that they have some sort of concealment), Falmoir's head is the Lone Ranger's and the body is Kili from Attack of the Warg. The daggers are from the old Aquashark sets, but any short weapon will do. Quote
narbilu Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) Nar’Bilu and a small group of his elven, half elven and elfling followers travelled to the gates of Hembrygga, a settlement ruled by the four brothers of Yggdrasil. Four elemental mages who protect the passage from Hemresa to the enchanted forest. Trädgren Lord of woods and flora (the oldest of the four) Jordsten Lord of rock and earth Djurkalla Lord of land, sea and sky fauna Brunnbölja Lord of sea, lakes and streams From the pathway rises a wall of trees, stone and arches. The only way into the facility is by ferry. The small boats are steered by dedicated elves, who judge and check every passenger they lead into the walls of Hembrygga. By the sight of the small regiment the elves bow towards the Lord of Hemresa and offer him and one guard the ferry. The lord is welcomed inside, brought directly to the leaders of these surroundings. Nar’Bilu (bows) Thank you for receiving me Trädgren Of course my lord, what is it we can do for you? Nar’Bilu I am in need of assistance, the Drow have reached the eastern borders of our beloved Hemresa. Some have already been spotted on land. It will not take them long to realize this is the main road to the enchanted forest, when travelling by land. Jordsten What do you exactly need, my Lord. Nar’Bilu There are some strategic points where we can cut them off, sending them back to the dark caves they came from. But I fear our numbers are too low, too many farmers and craftsmen with swords and too little skilled soldiers. I would like your army to my disposal to drive the Drow back. The four take a minute to debate, but need not much more than that. Trädgren On one condition you will get access to our military resources. There is a second struggle going on in Historica. A much greater struggle. Petera and Dugal are going to war. We are opposers of Petera’s ideas of how to govern Historica and Dugal has approached us to send reinforcements also. In order to avoid being biased, we really don’t want to choose sides. No elves of us are being send to the battle field. Nar’Bilu So you want me to send a legion of my troops in your behalf, without them knowing it’s on your behalf. So when the other side wins, you can deny being participants. Clever. Brunnbölja I agree. Will you do it. Nar’Bilu A legion of six will be send to the Wither Woods. But I need forces much larger. Trädgren You will have our army to your disposal. Our blades, bows, eyes, beasts and our secret weapon, which you will meet soon. We will help you cleans Hemresa. Nar’Bilu Thank you, I will assembly a legion to head up north. The five say goodbye and will meet up later today for strategic means. Nar’Bilu heads back to his legion, who are still waiting outside the walls. Together with his second in command, they select a small group of soldiers and a suitable commander to help Lord Dugal. Narbilu sends his commander and master druid Lynrem, 2 swordmen and 3 archers Field weapon - Foldable Ballista Siege weapon - Floating Tower Edited May 5, 2014 by narbilu Quote
Niku Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Salve Ardethain head of the Ardethain House, a vassal family from the Arfelan's, is a knight of renown. His skills and charisma inspire other men to great deeds. Currently is on a mission to his Lord that requires certain information within the city walls. He must not die. Nar Grisan loyal bodyguard of Salve, a great mounted archer, it is also skilled with the blade. Winged Immortals Elite Cavalry of the Ardethains famous for their code of honor and great deeds on the battlefield. The opposing sight of such a formidable display of power and bravery is something a man will never forget in his entire life, if by miracle survives the encounter against the immortals. Great quality armour, even better blades and formidable horses, they form a privileged force on the plains, often serving as mid-commanders on the battlefield, but also as ceremonial guards for high representatives, they are the best from the best. Men look upon them to renew hope even on dark times. Lord Tiven He already fought on the battle of Mpya Stedor as the only one who could reach on time from the force of Avalonia sent to help. Also a veteran from The Battle of Queenscross. He sees all this conflict as an opportunity to rise to even higher positions. A seasoned cunning warrior, who knows when to fight and when to flee. He has not changed that much but is on a debt of honor and life to Dugal's side, he carries the shield of his fallen friend Ser Blaore, the Oak. Quote
Hammerhand Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Looks like I'm not going to be able to get a field piece in for the deadline. I have it built but I'm not getting home till late tonight so I can't photograph it. I'm not to late to post my semi-sig fig and soldiers though am I? Edited May 15, 2014 by Hammerhand Quote
SkaForHire Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 No we can take signups until the end of the battle in a few weeks. I think you still have a half day for the field piece entry. Quote
SkaForHire Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 It looks like we are only a little behind schedule. I think the Battlefield (which is nothing to write home about this time around) will be done in about a week, and we will probably start fighting the battle next Wednesday or so. Keep the signups coming, I think we have most everyone who signed up replicated already. Quote
Gideon Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Soraya the assassin Soraya is a member of the Hashishin, an ancient and secretive group of Kaliphlin assassins. She is very skilled in the use of her long single-edged sword, but she also has a few more tricks up her sleeve. One of these is her trained monkey, fiercely loyal and with surprising skills with the knife. She is also a master of evasion, so it is highly unlikely that she will be killed in the battle. Soraya and her monkey will fight for Petera and the Valkarian order. Cyclops Tribe A tribe of cyclops were recruited by Soraya to fight for the Black Spire. Led by the cyclops matriarch, they are now fighting for Petera and the Valkarian order. The only metalworking the cyclops have mastered is bronze. If they are using weapons and armor of steel, it has been obtained by trade or more likely from fallen enemies. They are stronger than a human and much tougher, but their archers are not very good as they are not able to judge the range to the target very well due to the lack of stereoscopic vision... The cyclops are thirsting for revenge for their fallen king, who were slain by Sir Gideon at the Battle of Queenscross. Barqan City Guard A force from the Barqan City Guard has been sent by the City Council of Barqa (at the request of Sir Gideon) to assist Dugal in the battles. They are disciplined soldiers fighting in tight ranks, either with spears or the traditional Barqan gladius, which every guardsman receives upon being accepted into the City Guard. Arkbri Falcons A company of Kaliphlin mercenaries led by Ediz Falconi, a veteran of many battles including the Battle of Queenscross (where most of his company was killed) and the Battle of Castle Zar during the Revolword War. With new skilled soldiers Falconi has shown up to assist whoever pays the most. If the odds are against them, they are however very likely to retreat but never leave an injured comrade behind. Horssten Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Torsten of Horssten arrives with his friend and mentor Herrick the water priest and some heavy infantry. Pledging for Petera. The Horsstenian heavy guards are slow but steadfast. Herrick prefers a vantage point where he can follow the battle, murmur blessings and practice water magic. Torsten has a good eye for tactics when fighting, but sometimes his anger gets the better of him. Honor is important and skilled adversaries are met with respect. Should the battle turn against him he would surrender and trust the enemy, if it was seemingly civilized. Ransom? Salami anyone? A retreat can also provide an honorable chance of GETTING BACK at someone nasty. Quote
Maxim I Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) Ska, I made this post before the call to arms: Armies of Lord Damaximus You know these are my troops for Eastgate & The Withered Woods edit: For the Alleenridders, you don't have to replicate exactly those on the pictures So you can use every knight as an Alleenridder. The only people who are not allowed to die are myself and the Second Alleenridders Edited June 1, 2014 by Damaximus Quote

But that’s mostly as I do not know what I need to do, to become a member. If you could kindly point me in the right direction, then I will become a member. Thanks Quote

Kai NRG Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Finally got my fig up: Hope I'm not to late. Gad fights for Petera, preferred weapon a spear or light battle axe. No objection whatever to him dying. Quote
SkaForHire Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 NOt too late... I have been pretty busy, and the battlefield is still taking shape. I apparently don't have enough green plates to make a lot of elevation changes... but hopefully we will be done in the next week and start fighting this thing. For being a battle of the witherwoods, there are not a lot of trees: solution, the battle is being fought outside a logging camp!!! haha. Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 A group of cloistered healers, the Scarlet Sisters have been sent out from their convent to help ease the pain of war. While they travel with the redmen, they will attempt to heal anyone who comes and asks. (Except undead, necromancers and the like) Since they are unarmed, they sometimes are guarded by a paladin or a few redmen to protect their innocence. No problem whatsoever with them dying! Quote
