Kaliphlin Desert Cavalry in Action

In the Kaliphlin deserts, wearing heavy armor is usually not a good idea. Even if you manage to drink enough water to avoid dying from dehydration, swift light cavalry will harass you with arrows and spears regardless

Here, a plundering force of drow loyalists have been intercepted and they are slowly meeting their fate in a rain of arrows as the dust stirred by the horses’ hooves is stinging their eyes. The heavy armor is mostly able to resist the shortbow arrows but the skilled mounted archers are finding weak spots and are slowly withering down the enemy force. Any infantryman trying to make a counterattack or escape is forced back into the fray by a sharp and lightning fast spear.

Very nice scene. I admire that you are able to construct a battle scene without the battle being "distracting" and detracting from the remainder of the moc. The trees and sand dunes are nice as well :thumbup: . +1 UoP DoH for all claims

The sand dunes are fantastic! Amazing battle scene and fig combos too. I really like the arrow placements, especially the one through the helmet.

I really get the desert feel here! It reminds me of the book by Jan Guillou as well with their swift light cavalary harassing the crusaders!

Really nice combination of action and landscape. The arrow in the eye is brilliant, this is what happens to all who try to invade Kaliphlin! The scene is a classic, it's like something from Lawrence of Arabia. +1 all claims

Nice build, the landscape looks great, my favorite part of this build are the palm trees.

I also like the posing of the minifigs, especially of the ones who got shot by the archers.

You've had quite a few very nice MOCs lately, and I really like this one. The posing is great and really captures the drama of surrounding the foe. I like the terrain and foliage, and the arrow through the visor is a great touch. Excellent work!
