Faefrost Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 We probably want to kind of differentiate between characters we will never see made, just because they are a bit obscure, such as some of Spider-Mans deep and silly pool of villains, vs characters that we will be unlikely to see made because of policy reasons. As an example we will probably not see a Marvel Two Gun Kid in a set. Just obscure and kind of hard to make work. A Western hero in a Super Hero set. But no explicit policy against him. (Beyond would they use the LR pistols in a more modern SH set?) Whereas a character like The Punisher, while well known and iconic, would probably be the subject of much discussion at Lego. (And yes I know they made Deadpool. And Deadpool has had some very dark bloody books. But ultimately Deadpool is mostly known for the comedy insanity. Whereas The Punisher is all about the killing and violence. The dark mirror that the heroes are held up to.) Quote

Nobody will ever make this figure. The Black Talon- his hand was transplanted from a serial killer, but it is made explicitly clear that it is the race of the killer that makes the hand evil. Quote

Blondie-Wan Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I could see Justin Hammer getting a figure, actually, if he reappears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We might well have gotten him already if LEGO had been already doing Marvel Superheroes sets by 2010, when Iron Man 2 came out. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 ^ I suppose it is a possibility, but considering the fact that many people considered Justin Hammer to be a joke of a character I can't see it happening, even if he does appear in the MCU again. After all, what is the appeal of Justin Hammer? I could understand it if they gave him powers or something, but until then I really don't see him being made. Then again, TLG have already proven that nearly anything is possible, so who knows? Quote
adotnamedstud Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Watchmen probably won't happen... I also saw B-Lister say "Dog Welder" whist he may not be made, we do have a welder and dozens of dogs! Quote

Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I don't think we will end up seeing Mysterio, Leader or the comic variant of Arnim Zola. Quote

Then again, TLG have already proven that nearly anything is possible, so who knows? He has reappeared in one of the Marvel one shots. Hail to the King. So he may be in the queue to show up again. In the Marvel Universe Hammer is the weapon smith that creates or equips many of the high tech costumed super villains. Plus Sam Rockwell is such a trip in the role. He's kind of fun to watch. Figure he has potential to show up in Avengers 2 (Ultron is rumored to be a militarization of Jarvis, no? Would Stark do that?) potential to show up in a Cap movie or an Agents of Shield story arc. Also Minifigs of the rest of his Family would be cool. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 ^ Well, I suppose anything is possible at this stage, so I can't really rule out the possibility of a Justin Hammer minifigure, even though it seems highly unlikely to me. Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I hate to say it, but I find Moon Knight unlikely to happen any time soon. I also doubt that we will get General Ross, Egghead or Carnage's human alter-ego (whose name I cannot remember). Quote
