simonwillems Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Good news for us Dutch fans: Lego celebrates its 50th birthday in The Netherlands with a "road event" in four city's there is going to be an exibition in the Bijenkorf-shops with the history of Lego displayed in showcases, some animals made out of bricks, discounts on most of the 2007 firesets and the giant model of the Bijenkorf Amsterdam. Furthermore some bulding contests and piece-count contests. The event has started in Amsterdam on the 12th of may (I've just been there and it's nice). They had a little shop with most of the sets, discounts on the 2007 firesets and the 2006 ambulance and they had the new refusetruck (13 euros) and the new green articulated truck (25 euros). Go check it out, if you are a frequent visitor of Legoworld in Zwolle you have probably (like me) seen all the showcases and animals before, but the film (from 1982!) is really nice and it will cost you nothing too see the exibition. After leaving Amsterdam around 4th june the event will be on display in Rotterdam, The Hague and finally in Eindhoven. :-) Quote
