Programs for 45560 Education Expansion Models

Hello everyone!

I recently decided on building the awesome Elephant robot from the 45560 Education Expansion Set.

I found the building instructions uploaded.

Naturally, now comes the question whether the program for this robot is available for free download?

I suppose the program is included in the EV3 Education Programming Software, which need to be purchased. ( Unlike the Home Edition)

If you know whether it is available for download somewhere, please let me know.

I would much appreciate any information on this topic.

Corrected the title!

The program isn't available for download, only the instructions.

But looking at the model it shouldn't be too difficult to create the program, right?

Right. One thing i would be missing would be the sounds for the program - the one the elephant makes when raising his head.

My bad! The sound for the Elephant is included in the EV3 Retail software as well.

Look for "Elephant call" under Animals

While it's true that the EDU programs are not available for free ... there is an alternative to the GyroBoy ... Search on the legofirst website.

I'm still confused. I have two, 7 and one year old boys who have built several robots, including Gyro Boy and Mindcubr, but they don't know how to program. They'd love to build the elephant, but can't. Does anyone have a program for it that they might use?

GyroBoy Variant. I tried it and it works great, will need some tuning based on surface you put it on.

If I had access to the programs for Elephant, Stair Climber, etc, I would re-implement them using LeJOS Java and give this back to the community. Promise!

I am sure this would even increase Lego sales of the 45560 expansion set ;-)
