Hi Everyone

Sometime ago my Wife added the Cafe Corner to her collection of Modulars. Thinking the insides needed furnishing I took to LDD and came up with these.

I'd very much welcome any constructive criticism.

Very nicely done. I like the new cafe area. Is that arched area underneath the stairs? Will there be enough room there? My CC is modified, so I don't have that same footprint.

The counter area works really well. I'd almost consider changing the chairs to a different color to stand out more.

The bedrooms are neat. The layout seems to work pretty well. The bed/chair/desks all look good enough to add to any housing scene.

Keep up the great work!

I like the use of the kitchen to the understair. Good work! Your rooms look very cozy. It's hard to tell from the images but are you using 1x3 tiles for the tables?

Thank you for your very kind words.

As I built these not into a fully built LDD Cafe Corner but from just laying out the external/internal walls etc., with 1x plates on the base plates so there's every likelihood I might have placed a wall a stud or so out!

To be honest, I didn't check after building the under stair area to see if the stud count was correct.

I've not built much studded stuff using LDD as my first love (Lego!) is Technic so I'm sorry if any mistakes have caused any confusion etc. When I get chance I'll double check.

I also did some interiors for my Wife's Grand Emporium so after also checking them I'll post the pics if there's any interest.

Thanks again for your very kind comments.

This looks pretty nice - is there any chance you can stick these LDD files inside an LDD model of the actual set? I'd love to see these interiors in context.

Thank you all for taking the time you write such kind comments.

In answer to your questions:

The table tops in the cafe are indeed made up of 2, 1x3 tiles.

I've done the interior for my Wife's Grand Emporium and If I can find them (I'm not very organised, my files are stored on USB sticks, external HDD's, online & on the my poor ageing laptop!) I'll post them here.

When I get chance I'll 'build' the Cafe Corner and the Grand Emporium and insert the interiors. I'll also post the pics here when done.

Thanks again.

Looks good. One problem though: Looks like you can walk straight off the street up the stairs and find yourself in a bedroom. Probably need to add a corridoor around the stairs with doors to the individual hotel rooms - I agree it's a challenge given the tight space. I ended up modding mine to reduce the double thickness walls on the 1st floor to single thickness - to make a bit more room. Now have a grand total of 3 hotel rooms with 2 ensuite!!

Thank you for pointing that out. I think that as I 'built' these from the 'footprint' of each floor I didn't notice it. I'll try to sort it and any other oversights out when I get round to inserting the interiors into the building.

Thanks again.
