Video: Space Train based on Futuron Monorail in a big spacey landscape

A while ago I started to design a Space Train based on the Futuron Monorail. With the help of the Train Tech guys it has become a very nice thingie!

It's really good, but putting it next to the monorail just shows how much I prefer those to common trains. The smaller track & the slope pieces are big winners. That said, the train itself is more versatile being both wider and longer.

Regarding your train, it captures the Futuron monorail train essence very well, and the whole room setup is great, it's my kind of era.

Very cool. Are those flashing lights all pure LEGO? I'm not familiar with those.

Very Nice! While I remember lusting over the Futuron Monorail when it came out, I must say that I actually like this better than the original!

The flashing lights on the station are not, but those on the vehicles yes! I use a Sony compact camera and an Ion air pro 2 action cam on the train..

The arduino board is only for controlling the pulsating lights at the station. It generates a pulsating output what is connected to the LEDs in the station :)

Wow really cool video, You have a nice collection of vintage space sets The train is quite good, especially the remote controlled doors, the setup is a bit empty at some places, but it just leaves more potential to fill it Great job on the MOC and on the video as well.

Thanks! On one side it's empty but it's not a town: it's a space landscape! Anyway, I want to collect the Space Police and M-tron sets too, that should fill it up quite well :)
