custom colored lego pieces [molding casting]

I know this might be a bit of a horror question but I just want to know if some one has any experiance with it.

There are so many cool lego pieces unfortunately they dont release all parts in all colors.

So the big qeustin is..

Is there some one who has experiance with making custom lego pieces in the color they want?

And Ive seen youtuve how-to-make videos. But it looks real complicated as I have no experiance with it.

That's a neat link! Too bad the story ends at the start of actually making the duplicate...

I've been thinking about making custom parts myself. But rather than making 'new' ones, I'm thinking about cutting and sanding some pieces I already have... I just don't dare to ask advise here on EB... ;-)

Another thing you could do is to try and find the piece you want in one of 'the other brands' sets... But I guess that will be sort of 'needle in the haystack'...
