marv Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) **EDIT: New images here ** This is my entry for the LDD/LDraw Contest 2014 free build category. Since I always dreamed of traveling the world in something like this I created a LEGO version: the roof can be lifted while the truck is parking. The truck carries a motorbike on the back. The roof is walkable and can be used as a terrace =) Of course it has a comfortable interiour. The truck has two bedrooms (one in the roof). In case of a zombie apocalypse it has some flick fire missiles hidden behind the front bumper ;-). Here is the LDD File. Best regards marv Edited April 19, 2014 by marv Quote
Ridge Montante Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 This is awesome. I could definitely see myself cruising the roads in this baby. Quote
rockethead26 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 My wife and I also have dreams like this. Your model is really nicely done. Bravo! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Very cool indeed! Makes me want to try and build one Quote
eurotrash Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 It reminds of something you might see in an alternate version of Damnation Alley http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damnation_Alley_(film) It looks fantastic and well equipped to deal with a post-apocalyptic landscape! Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Cool 4x4 mobile home......oh, so cool indeed, good luck and Brick On 'marv' ! Quote
Kristel Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I never thought I'd say this about a motorhome, but this is awesome! Edit: Blogged it! Quote
ETAV8R Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Great rendition. The people over at Expedition Portal would appreciate this. Quote
ER0L Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Great! I especially love the lifting functionality and the playability of this. Dig the 8w/9w offset. Concerning the wheels I'd opt for smaller ones perhaps - it wouldn't lose its rugged looks anyway. Quote
marv Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Thank you guys for all your positive feedback! Quote
