Wanna try it but ... I only have 7 of those wheels, I wonder if a smaller version is possible with the the 40 DB gears ... no need for it to be motorized though.

Thanks for the link! The mechanics are pretty straightforward - the hardest part was fitting motor, battery box and gearing inside,and then getting the center of mass exactly in the center (otherwise there would be a lot of wobble). I am indeed working on a rolling version! Here are some other variations on the theme using other gears:

Very nice, reminds me of the various dodecahedrons and other shapes you see on Mathematica ... I think Matlab calls them 'Bucky Balls'
