Mod & MOC: Something wrong made right (take 2)

My other topic shows medium sized MOCs, this one shows improved titans.

The first one is Irnakk:

I don't think just a color change fixes Irnakk...the real problems with the model are in the limbs and his obtusely long neck, and I think the plain black and gold blends a bit too much. Maybe modify the arms, make the legs longer and such. That'd be great. Combine that with the color scheme, and it might turn out pretty cool.

Thank you for oppinion on this but I quiet like Irnakk's construction. The color scheme was the only thing I didn't like. :-)

Don't get me wrong, I did too, but it did have flaws. Too long neck, much too long legs, and the arm was too floppy.

As a pro painter, theres no such thing as colors "blending too well"

Anyway, I like it. It almost makes me like Irnakk.

If you plan to do that too, then buy 2x Reidak for the grey and black parts and a Brutaka for the gold parts.

If you don't already have the parts that is. ;-)

You know, I've read somewhere that the mask somehow got fused to Vezon's head. ;-)

So for this MOC I simply turned the head upside down. X-D

True, tough then it was removed from his head. Right now it's having some fun in the dark waters of the Pit, transforming Toa, turning Matoran into long time dead beings and enlarging small beasts, making them huge dangerous monsters.

Great new MOC! Umbra's design looks really great on this. The cape is a really nice touch. Just two suggestions: first, replace the 4 plus rod on the Mask of Life with a grey 3 plus rod. Second, remove the pistons! They hinder the feet articulation, they ruin the legs and are just plain useless (well except in Kardas's case, and maybe in Fenrakk too). I always remove them from my large sets (except Kardas).

I'm sure the Mask of Life would be having fun, save for the fact that it's destroying itself. Eh, side effects. They're everywhere nowadays. :-D

I prefer Irnakk's former color scheme, this one is a bit too gold, but I like the idea of having his two lower back feet the same color; that bugged me a bit, but still, he was made with only Piraka pieces. (Ah, they cheated and used those gold tubes and spine!)

I'm liking that Vezon-style warriors; I've always had an affinity for the opposite side of Vezon's head. As Shakar said, the Umbra style is nice on him, and that silver Visorak foot is also good-looking. I'm still trying to figure out how to make a cool silver Visorak, since Fenrakk, Axonn, and Roodaka give you just enough silver Visorak feet to do so.

But don't remove the pistons! They're so Titan-esque, and awesome! And they're silver! :-)

In case you couldn't tell, I like the pistons. After my Sidorak's legs became wobbly, they are my favorite little pieces.
