So, now that LEGO has releasede a modular building line with Cafe Corner and it seems to be quite successful, I wonder what we'll see next.

I think it would be AMAZING if they released furniture sets and other interiors. I'm assuming we're going to see more modular buildings as follow-ups to the cafe corner, so the possibilities for interior sets are endless.

I'm also ready for those follow-up sets! I realize I'm being ridiculously impatient, but I'd love to see higher and lower price point sets to continue building a modular city! I'm looking forward to mizing and matching the buildings they produce and then buying up more sets and making my own buildings, until I have several beautiful city blocks!

Of course, I'm overly excited about this line because this is the type of building I want to do. I love this year's new sets but I'm most excited about the future of modular building.

What do you guys think about the future of the line?

What do I think?

I think many of us were disappointed with the size of the Hoth base, so imagine if that were modular like the Cafe Corner. Or a Death Star. Or an Invisible Hand.

For a Star Wars hijack of a town thread, but that IS what I think. I suppose a less-biassed perspective would be: imagine if LEGO took the idea beyond the Town line, into other lines.

I know my wife would look forward to the idea of more modular town sets like the cafe Corner.

It's the first major lego set my wife wants to purchase for herself.

Hopefully this summer i'll be able to purchase it for her. *y*

With her wanting this set, i've been thinking lately of how to make a modular MOC or two to go next to the CC for a whole side of a city block. I've realized i could make a couple of structures real easily with out dismantling any of my piratey MOCs *y* .

If TLC does release more sets like the CC, my wife would surely like to purchase that set to add to her CC.

I lile CC and i think LEGO should and probably will make more houses. As the firemen, policeman and the construction workers are rady, the airport has been built, the new seaport is on the way... It will not be hard to get many town folks into the new city :)

Well I know that the designer of Cafe Corner said in the interview in BrickJournal that the follow-up set has been designed. The release depended on the success of Cafe Corner. Well, it seems pretty successful. Let's see it!!! X-D Please...

CC is the best thing Lego has done in the 21st century.

Non Lego people who see it are blown away. It is a joy to build, easy to customize, and the modularity is amazing.

I pray that this direction is the future of AFOL Lego. Bring on the rest of the street!!

Oh, and as usual...

BRING BACK JOHNNY THUNDER AND THE ADVENTURERS!

I plan on buying one as soon as I get income tax return back, and if it's as good as people are saying I'll get another one later this year and keep it sealed. I would also love to see more sets like this.

More, more, MOOOOORRRREEEE of sets like CC! But not too much in a same year, because of the money! :-D

I think that 2-3 beautifull module-houses a year would be fine.

Personnaly, I think that it's a withoutend line, because we can build so many houses with so many architectural style! But if all those houses will be unfurnitured, I think that it will be great to have just some furnitur sets, like we have with playmobil.

I think that we will have some nice houses, watching the 3 models seen in a toyfare before.

The modular aspect is a very good idea, because it makes you wanting the additional parts for your collection.

It would be nice to see some other sets like that with a more street aspect. I mean, it will be nice to have street baseplate with streetlights, benches, trees, a place...

I really think that TLC has a very big potential in its hand with sets like CC, because they appeal not only with afol, but with all adults that have played with LEGO in their childhood. Just hope that TLC has a master *yoda* who can teach it how to use in the right way this power...

First off I would like to thank Mr Hobbles for the new images of the modular houses *sweet* . This definitly shows that TLC is working on new modular sets. I can't wait to buy these myself. I am very :'-) about this new line. These sets really revolutionize the "Town" theme. These are sets I am sure all of us "Townies" have been waiting for. I hope TLC will create sets like stores, a bank, post office, the list is endless. I am definitly excited to see what's next and give this new line two *y* up. WAY TO GO LEGO!!

What do you guys think about them releasing interior sets, furniture, cafe counters, bank counters, etc...

I think furniture sets would be awesome *y*. Then i could by the sets rather than BL the parts.

Some wooden furniture like this would be really kool.

If you look at some of the folders that the furniture is in, there are a lot more models than the ones shown on the Accessory Index.

actually, i think this is the direction the AFOL hobby has been in for quite some time... 1) thousand piece, 2) minifig scale, 3) modular, 4) replication building. the builders at classic-castle are a tribute to that.

sure, i would like to see the hobby explore the CC scale, but i would also certainly like to see a continued interest in conceptual theme building.

as for the CC/modular line, i would love to see some more sets, especially exploring some different architectural stylings... only this "market street" one doesn't do it for me. however, the thumbnails are a bit too small to make a justified critique ;-)

Have you tried downloading the thumbnails and zoom in on them on your computer?

I like the stairs leading up to the entrance of the first floor. Curved stairs FTW! I also like how the building looks worn and aged, as in variation of the colors used (a few grey bricks amongst all those blue) gives it a slightly older and not fully-maintained look, unlike the CC. It's nice with some variation, I think.

Where did you find the price? or are you just guessing?

at first, I was guessing, because it has a lot less pieces than Cafe C (1248 pieces)

second, This day Marcel van der Linden posted on the bouwsteen that it will be 90 Euro (=50 euro less)
