This is my latest MOC. Its based on St Ann's church in Dawson Street Dublin although its not an exact replica. It took about 5 weeks to complete. It still needs some minor decals but the heavy lifting is done. It has lots of 'stained-glass' windows and has three separate sets of LED lights. I've used the wheel in the General Grevious bike to create the central window. The mosaic in the courtyard pavement isn't my own design - its based on a design in the Beautiful Lego book. The adjoining building has yet to be equipped with furniture but Bfenz is working on that. Its also got lighting, this time built into ceilings and walls via a cavity section which also feeds staircase and rear security lights.

Fabulous! Gothic is one of the biggest challenges for Lego, this looks great. So many really nice solutions. I love the use of droid arms, crossbows, the wheel. I can't quite work out what you have done over the lower left windows or with the white railing on top, but they look very creative too. What is the cross over the small door please? Lovely build!

This is fabulous! Not only have you made an amazing building, but you've made it suitable to the environment of your city.

The curch is really nice, with both romanic and gothic influences. You've portrayed that beautifully in bricks. The windows are especially nice, with the droid arms, giant wheels and whatnot. Those are some believable gothic windwos for this scale! The lighting is really the cherry on top. That picture is just beautiful!

All the different crosses you've added are a really nice theme of recurring, yet creativily different elements. And finally, erything blends together so perfectly, you barely notice it's LEGO at all. All the layers are really good.

My only remarks would be that the timpane seems a little empty (though I don't know how this relates to your example), and generally I'm missing some microfig statues... Finally, I don't think the church stands out well next to that grey building. Since it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the church, I would place a different colored building there.

What is the cross over the small door please? Lovely build!

If I'm not mistaking, its a pneumatic T-bar held by a clip, placed above a 1x2 plate with vertical bar. A very creative solution indeed!

Very nice creation! This is one of the most believable and beautiful churches I've seen in a town layout!

Stunning work! The extent of the details that you've captured in this church is just incredible and so try to the real thing. Well done!

wow, it's amazing

all those 'weird' use of bricks to create all those arches and stuff, it's great. very creative.

always like gothic stuff, and to see it as a lego version, it looks great. that lighted windows looks good too.

only the white stuff I think it's a bit .... doesn't fit actually, imo.

The windows really make this MOC - the stonework around the tall windows, and the ring around the round window especially. They look great on their own, but because you installed LEDs, they become much more vibrant. Great work!

Wow, I love those stained glass windows. It livens up the building so much.

I am especially impressed by the big round window above the entrance.

I assume that it is the rectory is next to the church. Nice to include that!
