Hey all, just joined this forum and wanted to show off a moc. Having just come out of my dark ages, I'm trying to get the hang of building studless things. While in the store the other day with my brother, also a Lego fan, I picked up the 60059 log truck:

This is a pretty cool truck (I think), and since I had just picked up 42008 as a parts pack, why not? So I tried to recreate this truck in technic:

Since it's technic, the features include

-HOG steering

-Opening doors and tilting seats/steering wheel

-Mini LAs to operate the boom

-Boom swings 360 degrees

-Simple claw at the end of the boom

-Cab tilts forward, although there is nothing to see underneath but the steering rack

And since it's a log truck, a backhoe is always nearby, so let's throw in a trailer and a 42004 backhoe:

The trailer is nothing special, flip down ramps and pivoting wheels with a simple jackstand.

Hope you guys enjoy, a few more pics available at brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=539606

Brilliant. It looks like you put in a xerox machine, and scaled it up by 141%. You hit the color scheme on the spot.

sqrt(2) ???
