Zergos Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 DC- obviously riddler chase, since it included my fave superhero besides arrow. Flash FTW!!!. It also gives useful body parts from riddler to use for my Weather Wizard I'll be making when I get the right face for it. Marvel- Prolly the upcoming hydra set, it looks pretty awesome, and it's always great to get a goon along with cap and red skull :D. Quote
LibraryBoy Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Based on what's been released so far, my favorite Marvel set was Helicarrier Breakout. A little on the pricey side for what you actually get, but you get a nice assortment of marquee player minifigs, a cool little base set up, and the small SHIELD jet, which is pretty cool. My favorite DC set was probably Superman vs. the LexBot up until a few days ago, but I just got The Riddler Chase and I think that's my new favorite thanks to the Batmobile design, great looking new figs for Batman and Riddler, and the Flash figure which is my pick for the best-looking superhero minifigure yet in either line. I didn't originally want the Riddler chase, but I might get it later on in the year if I can get a discount. Quote
ssorcam Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 The Batwing Battle over Gotham city is a great set. You the Batwing is a really fun build and the Joker missile with the face is a nice touch. Quote
Digivolution Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 The Riddler Chase set 76012 for DC. Awesome Batmobile and Minifigs. Marvel would be 76004 Spyder Cycle Chase. Love this set and Nick's car. Quote

OneStudShort Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Marvel Hydra Set only because of Red Skull! Quote
B-Lister Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) The funhouse is my pick just for character selection and price. But the Mister Freeze/Aquaman/Arctic Batman set is amazing too. For Marvel, gotta be the Deadpool helicopter. Magneto is a great minifigure. Edited February 24, 2014 by Mister Blisterfists Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 For DC it's undeniably Arkham Asylum, though from the system sets from DC, I'd have to say 6862: Superman vs Power Armour Lex. For Marvel, from sets released so far, I'd have to say that 76017: Captain America vs Hydra is my favourite. However, the Milano Spaceship Rescue from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sets will be my favourite when that is released. Quote
B-Lister Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 The Lexbot is a fun build, but I wish it had knees. Quote
ritzcrackerman Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Quinjet Lex Luthor's Power Mech Arkham Asylum (hardly fair to lump this in with everything else seeing it's so different, D2C, targed at older audience, etc. but it is what it is) Joker's Funhouse Everything else has been enormously disappointing. Alpha team Beta Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Marvel Hydra Set only because of Red Skull! Same but I don't really like the hydra minifigure it just doesn't fit in my opinion Quote
B-Lister Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Hydra soldiers should be marketed the same way clones are in SW. Five soldiers in a small set, for army building. Quote
WarSquirrel Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 For DC The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape and for marvel the Malibu Mansion Attack Quote
brickken Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 For me it would be the quinjet aerial battle. Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I might be out on my own here but personally i loved the battle of smallville set with the five great figures and two awesome looking vehicles for £40 ! But with the x men set coming out in the summer that might be my new favourite along with the know where escape mission thingy. Quote
Zzz Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I'm not a huge DC fan and I believe the old Batman technically don't belong to the Super Heroes line, but they were all better than the current versions. I especially liked the Batcave and the Two Face truck. The new Arkham is a great set, but also expensive. I'm more a Marvel guy and here I like the sets from the movies, not the other stuff (especially not the Spider-Man sets but I'm not a huge fan of him anyway). My favorite is the upcoming Milano ship, I can't wait to get this. At first I was really sceptic, having seen an early version but now it looks amazing and the interior convinced me entirely. Good sets are also the Malibu beach house (I like all the nods to IM1&2 and it's at a good price point) and the Avengers truck (best truck design ever with cool minifigs). Quote
