Godtshep Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Well, as if the title didn't make it obvious, what is your favourite Super Heroes set? Not sure about mine-I really like the newer Arkham Asylum, so that may be it. Please note this does not include the old Spiderman or Batman themes, but only the DC and Marvel themes from 2012 onwards. Edited February 4, 2014 by Godtshep Quote
Hrafnblod Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I don't have any of the biggest ones like Arkham or the Batcave, yet. That said I think my favorite might be the Riddler Chase or Two-Face getaway. I think both of those sets have good builds, play potential, and the best mix of figures. Quote
CardinalBricks Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The Funhouse definetly. 5 main characters for the Batman universe, and an awesome playset wih great parts. Quote
mulletwing Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Arkham Asylum followed by the Funhouse Escape. But I've quite enjoyed the Bat-copter and Joker Steamroller, both had great minifigs, just a pity about the secondary vehicle in both. Quote
Amset-Rah Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 My favorite is probably either Power Armor Lex or Arkham Asylum for DC, and for Marvel, easily Wolverine's Chopper Chase. All have great minifigs, superb builds, and the best bang for your buck. However, out of all of those, I'm going with Arkham, on the grounds that you barely get any locations in any of these sets, so to have a rather important locale in the Batman universe is good enough, but even the vehicle and minifig selection are top notch. Cwetqo Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Of all sets: Arkham Aslyum System sets: Superman vs Power Lex I dont like Marvel sets that much, but I would have to choose one, it would be Daily Bugle Escape. Quote
Doom2099 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Just on the Marvel side, the vehicle sets are ok, but the Malibu Mansion and Daily Bugle both do a pretty good job of being decent buildings to incorporate into a town. More importantly though, they've just got a lot of play value and options. Have to say though, that DC seems to have the edge in terms of playset type builds. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) Marvel: Daily Bugle, Deadpool's helicopter and the Quinjet, brilliant builds, great figures, and all very special to me sentimentally as well. DC: I haven't got as many as Marvel, however, it'd be between the Bat-Cave and Lex's Power suit Edited February 5, 2014 by Dr Leg O Brick Quote
Cammo Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Arkham Asylum of course followed by The Funhouse Escape & The Two-face Chase. Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Most definitely Arkham Asylum. I just love this set. Quote
Rinzler Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 DC: The Riddler Chase (you can guess why), Power Armour Lex, Metropolis Showdown Marvel: All except for Mandarin's Buggy and Spider-Trike Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Riddler Chase(FLASH!), and Steamroller. Of course Arkham Asylum! For 2012, it's between Power Armor Lex Luther, and the Batwing with Joker Copter. Quote
greeny Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 For DC, it would have to be Two-Face's escape. The bank and vehicles are amazing and the minifigures look weird at first, but they grow on you after a while. The Batmobile in this set is defiantly my favorite Lego Batmobile. For Marvel, I'm going to say the Malibu Mansion set for play-ability and the fact that it's a rare kind of superhero set; it actually includes a building! Quote

For 2012, it's between Power Armor Lex Luther, and the Batwing with Joker Copter. Cool! If you like that Batwing set, you should get the old one- the Joker Copter is waaayy better As for the Steam roller: The vehicle is cool, but will all my other buying commitments this year I'll have to get that Damian Wayne figure seperately. For DC' date=' it would have to be Two-Face's escape. The bank and vehicles are amazing and the minifigures look weird at first, but they grow on you after a while. But I still like the 2006 Two-Face a lot more As for the Mansion, it sounds cool, but I don't like the protruding pillars or the fact it only has one hinge. Quote
Ultron Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 My favorite might be the Spider-Man: spider cycle chase because it has venom and the car is pretty nice and it's worth the $20 Quote

I don't have the sets I mentioned(only Luthor's) but I plan to. I've seen pictures of the old Batwing, but this one appeals to me more. The Small Factor. You could get the Steamroller next month for Martian Manhunter. That's how I'll get it. Quote
Suspsy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 My hands down favourite is Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout. In addition to my all-time favourite figure (you know who that is!), it contains Thor, Loki, Hawkeye, and a pretty decent jet. My favourite DC set would have to be Batwing Battle Over Gotham City. I actually prefer the smaller Batwing to the big one from 2006. Quote
Drock Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 For DC, the Two-Face Chase. I love the Batmobile. It just feels nice and solid. Also, there is a lot of playability right out of the box with two vehicles and the bank. For Marvel, it's the Quinjet. It looks great and is extremely well put together. Quote
Themadpatter Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I love the Daily bugle set. Brilliant build and minifigures Quote
Colossus Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I'm a huge Marvel fan, and I gotta say the Quinjet is a mighty fine set. As far as DC sets go, I'm SO tired of Batman. Despite this, The Joker's Hideout is tons or fun, more so for my kids. They love that set! Quote
pranas Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Superman vs. Lex Luthor, hands down. I really want to get into the Super Heroes line, but none of the sets have really grabbed me yet, and this set is the only one I've ever broken down and actually bought. It's just a thing of pure beauty, I'm a sucker for giant robots, and the Wonder Woman fig is awesome. It's a little ironic that this is the only Super Hero set I own considering that I'm more of a Marvel fan and I just hate Superman as a character. Quote

Suspsy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 If you spend $75 or more at the online Lego Shop, you get a free Martian Manhunter. Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 What do you mean by 'Martian Manhunter'? You're joking right? DC Comics character. Famous member of the Justice League. Next month's Lego promo figure. Quote
Colossus Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I know, right? It's nice not to have to buy a whole Batman set to get the one new DC Minifig. Of course, you have to drop $75 to get just the Martian Manhunter. Luckily, I've been planning on picking up The Parisian Restaurant modular sometime soon anyway. Quote
