Hi all,

today I want to show you my level crossing, motorized by a medium-PF-motor.

P-010.jpg

The intention was to move the bars slowly an synchronously.

Therefore I used strings to drive the bars.

There is a short video on youtube(50 sec):

Here are some pictures of the house and the shed

I already so it at 1000steine... But: it is very, very nice. I like your construction of wires. I will use some of your idea's in my construction too I think, I already did some experiments with (nylon) threads, but this is even better. it keeps the crossing itself very clean, that is what I like best!

The speed also turnout very well.

B.t.w. the contra weight is that for a point? Or were they also used for level crossings.

Best I have ever seen, really keen to try and reproduce this. To base all my level crossing on my layout are the older UK type gate and not the lift arms.

But it looks very good not big ugly motors showing. Very clever.

Really nice and detailled level crossing.

I really like the design and functionnality.

I've already seen on BS that type of motorization by strings under the road pulling on fences. Maybe that was yours?
