After escaping the dastardly Baron's trap at the Temple of Hathor, Johnny Thunder and his fearless adventurer companions travel to the mysterious Abu Simbel. The statue carved right into the rock face has intrigued Egyptologists throughout the ages. As the brave explorers survey the site, Prof. Kilroy stumbles upon a spooky embalmer looking for his next client and Johnny encounters the evil Pharaoh (the embalmer's last client) guarding his cursed treasures. Pippin's search, however, fairs much better, as she discovers a hidden Sapphire.

What will you find at the mysterious Abu Simbel? Only time will tell...

Great work, I love Adventurers Destert MOC's. It has the 1998 feel to it. Those brown rocks certainly do the trick, something different than the old grey ones.

Nice car too, but... weren't there four of those satues next to each other in Abu Simbel? :-)

I'm an admirer of the Egyptian culture since I was about 13 years old.

Even visited Egypt and the real temple of Abu Simbel some years ago.

Being such a fan of historic MOCs, have you every visited Egypt or Greece Mr. Athos?

I just wonder where you get all your inspiration.

It's great to see these adventures MOCs you make.

They bring back a lot of good memories and for that I thank you!

I've really never been anywhere :-(

I was a history major in college, so I think that helps give me some familiarity with historical monuments and places. And, I guess my inspiration comes from dreaming about going places. I figure a Lego Abu Simbel is probably as close as I'll get to seeing it in person.
