Itaria No Shintaku Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hello, I collected about 50+ of this guy, but a year after I must say I am disappointed. The pointed visor keeps on detaching from the helmet even if I have them in pretty new condition and I haven't plaied with them. I never complianed about the quality of the CMF's plastic, but alas I have to. Compared to old mnifigures that already have years of playing, visors of these Heroic Knights are totally worse and loose. Lego has in its mission to never let down quality of their toys, but this isn't happening. CMF have a totally worse plastic than other sets, this is. Quote
BricksMcgee Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I've noticed this on quite a few more recent CMFs, especially in that the leg joints are not as stiff as their City/usual Lego set counterparts. Seems to be that after a year the legs sometimes become incapable of keeping the figure standing up straight and they droop forwards or backwards. Like you say, a bit disappointing. Might be related to the fact that CMFs are manufactured in Mexico/China, if I recall correctly? Perhaps they don't have the same level of quality control for those factories? Quote

Wardancer Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Oh, this sucks. Had I collected 50 of these figs, I would be very angry as well. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Further more I can add that the visor doesn't have mid positions. Either it covers the helmet, or it's totally lifted. It's simply a mess. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 It is quite frustrating. I hadn't noticed the quality issue in previous series as you said, but recently (in particular Series 10) the quality of the plastic has drastically decreased to a very low standard. I agree that the knight felt very cheap in comparison to the other figures in that series. It really does infuriate me when the hands are stiff and you see that sinful mark on the armpit or the lack of one on the neck... *shudder* Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 That's why I only collect the CMFs for display, never for army building/playing. The plastic is just so bad. I hope LEGO never goes full China, because the CMFs are really subpar. I wouldn't even dare to think what would happen if a kid would play with the CMFs.. The plastic FEELS cheaper, and the legs/arms already feel "loose" and used.. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I have a dozen myself. And I must admit, they pop off all too easily, and seem to swing open or shut at the slightest movement. Quote
