Karie let out a sigh of relief as the book faded back to where it came from.

"I wish it just dropped. I wanted to spit on the damn thing."

Karie walks away from the group to examine the bodies, closing the eyelids on the two students before she reaches Hawke.

"I knew you for all of an hour, and I already miss you."

She closes his eyelids, taking everything off his person with the exception of his crossbow, and his hat.

"Let's get the students home. Now. I don't want the students we have getting hurt. We also need to deal with our dead too."

"Just the fact that you are finished is a begging of the end, demon. Tough I wish I could have ripped you to shreds..." Thalion says as he turns away from where the Saga one was. Looking over the loot, he turns towards the party, "Would anyone mind if I have that Manafont?"

"Let's get the students home. Now. I don't want the students we have getting hurt. We also need to deal with our dead too."

"Agreed. Lets send the students home first and the departed afterwords."

Heckz goes to the shelves and tries to see if any of the books he burnt earlier have tonics in them. Then he goes over to Saga and starts reading her, seeing if she contains useful information.

Thalion uses the Manafont first, immediately feeling its power in boosting his ether, after which he uses Ether Core to replenish his magical energy.

He heals Thalion, before looking over the rest of the party.

Thalion bowed, "My thanks Erik."

"So, which stories did you people go into, and how did you get one of our most precious fighters killed? I for one had to kill a horrific thousand handed monster with Noel and Drucilla while Karie stood back and did nothing."

"I dont know exactly what happened, but Leigh and I got transported into a weird, fairy tale like world where Leigh had grown a very, very long hair and we were trapped in a tower with no way out. I don't know why but while there, I was in control of my actions but I wasn't entirely myself. Out of nowhere first appeared a small person calling himself prince Broin, which Leigh said was one of her fellow students from the school, and shortly after him a witch. The witch had taken him hostage, and after failed attempt at negotiations I killed the witch but she had unfortunately already taken Broin. After that, the whole world started sort of crumbling apart around us. So, we cut of Leigh's hair and after lowering her to a safe patch of land, I attempted to follow but strange red cracks formed all around the crumbling world and started dragging almost everything in them. I thought I was going to be sucked into one, but with a leap of faith, this amazing dagger", he taps Ratsbane, hanging on his side, "and Leigh's help I got to safety too. We tried to revive Broin but it was already too late. After that we were transported here. Poor Broin along with us..."

"The Wizard of Oz. We got stuck in the Wizard of Oz. At least, some bizarre hybrid of it..."

Karie sat on one of the tables, looking around at the carnage.

"Drucilla was cast as the Witch of the West. Me and Heckz convinced one of the protagonists, a young girl who wanted to go back to her home, to not kill the witch... but her companions... they killed her. They brutally butchered her and her little dog. Heckz, Noel, and Mrs. Eldritch managed to repel the... thing that the world around us turned into... but the vivid image of that girl's head being split open with an axe... I'm, sorry, I'm a little shaken is all."

The group lays down the bodies of the deceased in a row on the library floor. Karie takes all of Hawke's possessions, leaving only his bow and hat. Guinevere the falcon looks at her suspiciously, but as Karie reaches a hand for the bird, she moves to it somberly. The bird buries her head beneath her wing.

Leigh sobs against Arges' shoulder, and Noel and Sorsha look distraught, but Professor Eldritch has a determined expression on her face.

"What a disastrous day this turned out to be... We can only be thankful that you rushed to our aid, heroes of Heroica - we would have all be dead without you, no doubt. But let me properly introduce myself: I am Drucilla Eldritch, professor of Magic and Healing here in the university. I am sorry to say that my healing abilities are more theoretical in nature, but as you saw, I pack a pretty powerful punch when crossed. My students know that well, too. Now, if someone would explain where we stand in this diresome situation..."

Noel explains everything to Professor Eldritch and Arges, bringing them up to date about the events so far.

"It only figures that the forces of Azazot are behind this! But one has to question why the demons would abduct an entire school... Surely there has to be an explanation to this all. I will do all in my power to help you get to the bottom of this, if only you allow."

The professor bows her head to the heroes.

There is nothing but text inside the books. It looks like the tonics appeared with the demon's enchantment...

She noticed Noel might be a little shocked after what just transpired. She goes to him.

Noel shifts his feet uneasily.

"I guess... This is some crazy shit happening, that's all." The half-elf glances at the bodies on the floor and gulps. "T-thank you for getting me out of that story in one piece, Miss Karie."

Heckz walks over to the Demon Door.

"You saw what we could do, you saw how we killed your boo. You don't want us ruining your most magnificent laquer, do you?"

"I'M MILDLY IMPRESSED, BUT I REALLY DON'T MIND YOU TAKING OUT THE COMPETITION. IT'S A DEMON-EAT-DEMON WORLD WE LIVE IN. OH, AND YOU CAN HUFF AND PUFF ALL YOU WANT, BUT YOU WON'T GET PAST ME."

What will the party do next? Besides the demonic door, there is the door leading to the foyer of the Auditorium that the heroes haven't used yet.

Anyways, how do those Ruby Slippers work? You surely have been to every place in the school before, right? Surely you can go anywhere you want? Who made those shoes anyways? The design is marvelous, I'd like some gloves like that. There's also something in the second floor in the East Wing, like a complete darkness. We'll go there right now and you can tell us what it is."

Heckz notices Noel thanking Karie and he imitates Noel's voice.

Karie turned to Heckz.

"Let's deal with these students now, Heckz. They've seen enough."

Heckz takes a really short rest in his bedroll.

Heckz tries to huddle into his bedroll, but doesn't get a wink of sleep because of the corpses lying next to him. The odd noises emanating all around the building don't help, either.

Heckz says hi to Señor Calacas along the way, if he is there.

Heckz takes Hawke's Archer's Hat. He then gives the Archer's hat to Sorrow.

Karie's face goes blank before she grimaces.

"Yes. Yes they are Heckz. And I do believe you stole 6 gold from me. Why should I toss this money your way when you've clearly showed me zero respect?

The money will be distributed later. We have no use for it now anyways, and it may go to Hawke's family, if he has any."
