dr_spock Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Looks great with the non-Lego tires. What kind of rims did you use? It would be funny if the mortar shoots. Quote
Splat Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Nice work Doc_Brown I can't wait to see what you come up with next... Quote

I'm taking orders now.... Looks great with the non-Lego tires. What kind of rims did you use? It would be funny if the mortar shoots. I did want a recoil action, but I'm not smart enough to work it out haha, I used the standard crawler 9398 rims size. Quote

DrJB Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 HAHA, no job, no wife, no kids! Interesting ... I play MORE with lego now that I have a wife+kids ... I guess it's a way to 'convince' my kids that STEM is important ... Yes the Chassis is half studded/studless. I will take some detailed pics when I dismantle. This may help DrJB Thank you, it does help. Too bad the modern technic panels are not available in gray, or else they would make a 'smoother' skin. Quote

Yes Wish they were available in DBG. But plating allowed me to get the angles that I wanted and was much cheaper to "cover" Here is the new Concept Patria Quote
Doc_Brown Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 STUDS!!! Love it! Thanks! I got pics coming soon of the chassis detail. Lots of studded and studless combinations. meanwhile I did some camo experiments. haha Quote
Gee Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Urban camo! Cool! And STUDS!!!! Hahaha! This has got the look. I doubt you could get it to look so mean if you used studless panels, it'd be too smooth. Having been in the military I can tell you that tanks and APCs are very rarely smooth. A lot of the bodywork is painted in non-slip paint as it'll be walked all over. OK, so the studs are out of scale for that, but they give a certain "hardened" look, which suits military vehicles perfectly! Top stuff! Quote
clarkdef Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Holy cow, it's so massive and I really dig those studs! The suspension is very nice, like the real thing! Quote
Boxerlego Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Nice work Doc. It has that Star Wars giant battle ship look to it. I spy something blue . Quote
