21050 Architecture Studio... Gone? Back!

Hi, I bought he 21050 Architecture Studio a few months ago and can no longer find them. I checked Barnes and Noble where I got it at and they have no more sand it is also gone from the website. Does anyone know what happened to these sets? Are they discontinued? I can't figure out why they are going for more then double price on eBay right now if they will return to stock again.

Just called Lego.. What the rep told me is that the This set is not going to get restocked and be discontinued. He said there is supposed to be a Architecture Studio 2 but was not confirmed yet.

So if you have these... HOLD ON TO THEM! Going to pack mine away right now.

Interesting... I cut the seals so that I could read the book, but never opened the bags.

I didn't buy it for investment purposes though. I'm just a completist. :)

I opened mine all up but last night I put it all back together. I had bough a few hundred extra white ones to go with it. I may need to sell this and buy more Modulex! :)

Starting to look like the line is getting cut way back.

Now sold out:

Studio, Robie, Khalifa, Rockefeller, Guggenheim and Willis Tower...

And none have anticipated restock dates.

UN, Big Ben, White House, Space Needle, Farnsworth and Eiffel are all out, but say will be back in 30 days or give a date.

Interesting enough. The ones you list don't make an appearance in the book for the Eiffel tower. At the back in the black and white look. Maybe all of these are going to be retired.

Robie House is listed as retiring soon the US Lego Shop. It shows a a sale price of 160 USD but is sold out.

I saw two copies of the set at the Water Tower Place shop in Chicago yesterday. I was surprised because of the talk it had been discontinued, but there it was.

They received several copies of AS in TLS in Raleigh this week with a limit of one per person. Was told it is sold only in the US because the book is only in English. They also told me that it was supposed to come back as a regular item possibly slightly revised as version two. Still at the orig price of $150.

I was surprised to find at lest to in-stock at Lego shop Glasgow (two on the shelf),I don't know if I will get one or not...I am thinking about it.

I bought mine off Craigslist for 70 bucks. Should've bought the other one the guy had as well!

I opened it to look at the book, that's all I've done so far with mine.
