OoC: An interesting way of looking at it. Whenever I am asked things along those lines, even with items I create, I always check the wording. The way that it reads to me is that the effects have a possibility of descending on you at the beginning of the battle, so I'd say that they're not permanent, and switching out the seal would not take them away either.

The latter looks as though she's ready to slaughter Nerwen's angel, her voice a low, cold hiss as she stands alone, surrounded by the corpses of her fellows.

Despite trying as hard as she can with the Healing Staff, Purpearl could not heal Thormanil back in time for Raguel's next attack. She tries to move the dragoon out of danger's way before moving to the Central Tower (and does nothing).

Is this battle over when one side or BOTH sides are defeated? If we defeat the orcs before the kingdoms are defeated, can we use the Incense then and the Western PCs still get XP? Please chime in CJP & Cryos. I am just hesitant to use a Phoenix Incense since they cannot be regularly purchased and can make a HUGE tactical difference in a battle. There is no tactical reason to use it now. I would be willing to loan out Hoke's Medal of Glory to make up for any lost XP because of this battle.

OR, if the QMs allow it, I will give Hoke's XP for the battle to CJP.

OoC: The battle is over when both sides are defeated OR one side makes it to the tower while the other side is defeated. So defeating the Orcs will not end the battle. :thumbup:

OoC: I'd have to rule no, sorry. I really appreciate the sentiment, but I just don't think that we should bend the mechanics that way.
