Thanks 'monsinjor' and 'gazumpty', now that open sticker is from the Friend's cafe set.....yep, I nicked the front door from it !

The Landmark store will be completed today......hopefully this morning, note to self.....must make more stickers.....lots !

Keep watching......oh, any fresh suggestions that would fit an Aussie country town.....small to medium size ?

Thanks 'LEGO Family', now a Landmark store supplies farm chemicals, tools, animal care/feed, irrigation and fencing suppies......remember my town is a country town in among farms.

Now a huge update......

Looks really good, LT! I like your building style. I grew up in a small, country town, and many of our stores were very similar to this.

My suggestions for next shop:

-Grocery store

-Small engine (lawn mower, weed eater, etc) repair shop

-Automotive repair shop

-Video store

-Ice Cream Parlor

-Automotive supply store

-Small library

Great layout thus far!

Very nice! I like the simple yet fantastic design of these buildings.

An idea I did have was a haberdashery (aka hat shop).

I look forward to see this project progress further :classic:

Thanks 'dhc6twinotter', I'm planning on building an old car dealer/garage based around designs from the 1930's through to the early 50's......mmm, might get a start on it today....keep watching !

Thanks 'Overcold', though drapery shops sold haberdashery as well plus I do have hats are on the top shelf in the LOWES.

Wow lightningtiger, this is great!

Thanks 'Oran', keep watching.......after the old car dealer garage, then a new old hardware store, grocery/supermarket, bank, hotel, chemist/drug store and maybe a bakery/cafe.....I'm going to be busy eh ?

Nice updates there! I like the entrance way to the Landmark store, very unique! I look forward to seeing the next instalments!

Happy building

Thanks 'timmy', I chose that entrance design because of cash flow problems again......no new parts - can't afford them this week.

My wife cheered me up tonight with a surprise early Christmas present.....a ticket to see Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock tomorrow night so I'll be online tomorrow but maybe not tomorrow night !

Now I'n finalising my garage design......though I'm still having trouble working on the art deco angle on it......keep watching !

Thanks 'gazumpty' and 'Trevor_F' for your kind words.......well, 'Trevor_F' once this is finished it will be beyond UCS brick count....so a set would be beyond huge !

'gazumpty's suggestion of a toy shop.....not really, I base all my buildings on similar ones from a small town.....usually populations under 1000.....not enough to support a toy store.....though if I build a newsagent.....they can include a Toyworld....be that a small one.

Now if a newsagent is included that could lift the building count to 10 or more structures in a row ! *oh2*

Anyway, keep watching.......oh, yeah....keep suggesting too !

A small gas station? Or a garage for your countiy utility truck? :sweet:

Ah, that's the Shell which is going on the outside of the town centre........my brain is still nutting over the problem.

Keep watching !

This row of shops just keeps getting better. I LOVE that butcher and the Landmark store is a great idea. You know all the small towns thrive on gossip, and the perfect place for men's version of gossip is the barber shop, of course. Ladies will do that anywhere, but I think every town needs a barber shop.
