Very cool build Soccerkid! I love the rural feel to it. :classic: The different facades of the houses gives a lot of interest to what could easily have looked quite bland (due to the walls being almost exclusively the one colour). The roof ends look great and you could easily have claimed for roof rake on this. The piled snow around the paths leading to the central well look really organic and believable as well, and the interiors are full of lovely details.

UP: +1 for wooden walls and village life.

ps. Good luck with the ccc!

Great work with the snow and the houses, the whole build has a very realistic look to it :classic:

You've really managed to nail the Norse feeling with the walls and roof rakes on those houses!

I'd like to receive UoP credits for: wall techniques (wooden walls) [architecture], village life [anthropology] = 2 credits

Sure +1 and +1 to that!

Thanks Gabe :sweet: I gave some thought to how I could make the houses a bit more interesting, yet stay realistic.

I almost asked for credit on the roof rake, but decided not to. There are many great builders entering the CCC, I'll be quite pleased if I get an honorable mention in any of the categories I enter :classic:

Thanks Gideon! I did try for a more realistic style with this build :classic:

Great work SK! My favorite part is definitely the snow drifts, very realistic - we just got our first snow storm of the season, and it almost looks like that outside my window.

Very nice MOC with many great details :classic:

Thanks Lasse!

Thank you, we've had snow where I live for at least a week now, so I had plenty of real life inspiration :classic:

Sorry for my inattentiveness lately, been busy! I did see this MOC when you posted it and thought it was great. I will add my +1 to both the wooden walls and the village life. Great job!

Thanks Kayne :classic:

Very nice build SK! It reminds me of a couple of Buurli's Mitgardian builds. I really like how you went for historical accuracy, and I like your stone work and your interiors.

Thanks rogue, I generally don't focus too much on historical accuracy so it was a fun change to do so for this build :classic:

Definitely +1s for the wooden walls and Mitgardian village life. I think you could have claimed the roof rake credit, plus one roofing style. This is just all-around great. Exactly the kind of build I was hoping for when I put in the "Mitgardian/Kaliphlin/Avalonian/Nocty life" subjects.

Thanks! I almost asked for credit on the roof/roof rake, but I do roofs a lot so I decided I could wait a bit :classic:
