zero1312 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Hey guys, I've been planing on my first contest and wanted to know: 1. Would you join it? 2. The theme is ether spider mech or exo-force base (both human and robot). What do you think? :-)
PSPguy Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 1. Yes. 2. Spider-mech. But I need more details. *sweet*
zero1312 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 First, it can be any size from Minifig scale to gigantic. Second, it can be a droid or a piloted one. Third, it can have as many legs as you want, but at least three legs are required. Fourth, it must be recognized as a spider and a mech. Here's an example: Any other questions?
zero1312 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 We can start when enough contestants joined in and what do you think how long should it be running?
PSPguy Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 How bout 2 weeks. One final question: Can you use Technic for the legs? (Knights Kingdom)
xwingyoda Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 If I can give you an advice zero1312, clarify the rules of the contest (and repost them by editing your first post) meaning: * what vehicle ? * What size ? * What is prohibited ? Techniquewise... * Give a nice timeframe to let people have time to enter * Is there a prize ? * and what have you... I am sure people will enter ;-) Good luck !! *yoda*
PSPguy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Yo Zero I can take over if dis is too much. :-) I already have my spider done. *sweet*
Starwars4J Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 You can use whatever you see to fit it. That really doesn't answer *yoda*'s questions at all. The whole thing is very disorganized, could you please edit your first post with a list of requirements, specifications, rules, dates, etc? You can't have a "whatever goes" contest, because that would make it impossible to judge one MOC vs. another. You need to make it more...concise to make it more fair. Yo Zero I can take over if dis is too much. :-) I already have my spider done. *sweet* "dis" isn't a word :-| And it's his contest, if you want to make one, you're more than welcome to start one of your own. But maybe if you have ideas you can help zero1312 better organize his contest instead
PSPguy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Dis is a word in a rappers dictionary. Ill take your advice and make my own contest.
Starwars4J Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Dis is a word in a rappers dictionary. Ill take your advice and make my own contest. What a shame we speak English here then :-P
zero1312 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Thanks PSPguy. I just had no idea how much details I have to look for. :-/
Khorne Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Perhaps you should've made a concept for your contest first, before you posted it here ;-) .
zero1312 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Perhaps you should've made a concept for your contest first, before you posted it here ;-) . Well yes, I'm new and it's my first attempt, and thanks to you guys I know how to do it right next time. ;-)
zero1312 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Well, since PSPguy took over the spider contest, what do you think about the exo-force base contest? Rules are simple: 1. I'm posting an extra topic for the entries and the contest runs three weeks after the topic is posted. 2. You can use parts from every "System" line, but it must be recognized as exo-force. 3. The size can range from small (like gate assault) to gigantic (as big as sentai HQ, but not bigger, please!). 4. It can be ether a robot or human base. Are you interested? :-)
Starwars4J Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I think that sounds interesting, but maybe put some sort of limit on the size? Again, it's hard to really compare a large base with a small one. :-)
zero1312 Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 Can someone close this topic. It's kinda useless now! :-(
Starwars4J Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Well if you like...but feel free to PM me if you've changed your mind.
