Hey guys, my name is Kevin (K3VBOT). I’ve built legos since I was a kid and still enjoy doing so when I have free time between school, work, and the lady. I free-hand most of the stuff I build, or I built different color variations and make little alterations to actual Lego sets.

I actually found this site because of the “pirate” forum. I’m currently working on an oversized lego ship. It’s far far far from looking decent, but I'll post pics of the bare skeleton for you guys to see. Will probably ask for some advice at later stages of the build to make it look more legit.

(Sorry if there are too many pics of my misc crap, if there is, please feel free to edit as needed mods)

Here’s where I’m at so far on it. It’s built in 5 pieces: one large center rectangular section, and then the bow and stern are both split into 2 separate sections because they are on hinges. The boat will open up completely at both ends allowing a visual of an intricate interior. It’s built large enough that a lego guy can stand up straight, which makes it look pretty plain on the exterior so far, but alas, this is only the skeleton.

And then I built this forever ago, which will end up being stripped for parts for this bigger one I am working on.

Hi, K3VBOT. Welcome to Eurobricks!

Your pirate ship looks like it has a good shape to begin with. I like that you're focusing on the interior by making the ship easy to open up at each end. Are you going to put a SNOT sort of skin over the bricks?

I must admit, you got my attention with the comment about microwaving a minifigure - but you never said what happened to it!

Haha.. Oh shoot, I left ya hangin.. The legs melted causing the torso to fall backwards. Just as it was about to hit the glass plate in the microwave, the whole thing burst into flames.. Then I threw the microwave into the lake

Edit: and not a snot skin over it haha, Just jazz it up with the cliche decor, may do something a little different with the windows, I have about 14 cannons, need to find 6-8 more. Going to figure something out so it isn’t just flat walls down the sides.
