Favorite Lego websites

We all love the great discussions, MOC's, and news here on Eurobricks, but I'm wondering what are some other favorite sites/blogs for Lego? My 2 personal favorites happen to be brickset.com and the new elementary blog. Brickset always seems to have great news and is a fantastic resource for looking up old sets and parts. I'm not part of the forums over there so I can't speak for the discussions they have, but I'm definitely a fan of the site. The new elementary is a fantastic blog detailing new parts and some old ones aswell. It goes into uses and is just generally a good resource for all things Lego elements. So guys what's your favorites? I can think of a few more but I'll see where this post goes.

I love going over the brothers brick.

I am also quite found about classic castle.

That being said, Eurobricks is to me the best place to discuss everything about Lego.

Eurobricks is my primary fansite. I used to frequent From Bricks to Bothans, but eventually sort of moved over to EB since it better covered my overall LEGO interests, though I do still consider Star Wars particularly important to me.

For years I've tracked my collection using Peeron, but in the last couple years it has seemed to be updated more sporadically and also contains an increasing number of errors and whatnot, and it's becoming less useful, alas. I'm thinking of using Brickset a lot more, and it's already starting to become my default place to look up sets.

I'm thinking of using Brickset a lot more, and it's already starting to become my default place to look up sets.

In terms of tracking a collection, I feel that Basebrick.com is unrivalled. It's the only site I've encountered that allows you to add both loose bricks and sets and organize your collection in both ways. So when I come home from a draft with our LUG, I can actually input all the parts I just got in exact quantities/colours. You can also import Bricklink orders directly! The handy "Can I Build It" feature allows you to choose any set and find out if you have the parts to build it - and not only that, but it will tell you how many of the set's parts you're missing.

You can import Brickset or Peeron inventories as well, so it's really easy to get started. I really love that site.

Besides EB and slovenian LUG forum, which I frequent daily, I'm following also Flickr, Brickset, Brickshelf, MOC Pages, The Brothers Brick, Friends Brick, Model Building Secrets and Modulars on a weekly basis. I used to follow also Brick Town Talk and Classic Town, but stopped unfortunately as they haven't been updated for months now. They were really good and always had interesting (and inspirational) models.

What about sites for instructions for mocs? I can't think of the names off hand but I know one of them had a chili's restaurant on it. Anyone use that or know of any others?

EB for news/chat/MOCs/general forum fun, BL for parts lookup/buy and BS for checking my inventory allthough they got a decent forum to boot. Da Bro's Brick is also a good place to see the latest MOCs at. And then there all those sneaky blogs (can't name them, I just find them through google) who don't give a flying fvck about posting confidential pics that we all search frantically for about this time a year anyway

Apart from this one, I visit The Brothers Brick and TechnicBricks fairly regularly. I also use Bricksafe and Rebrickable for image hosting and collection documentation, respectively.

Rebrickable is good, but I maintain the collection and parts data in Basebrick, and then export/import into Rebrickable. Actually I make it a bit more complex than that even, as I maintain the sets I own in Brickset, and export/import those to Basebrick. Not sure why I do that; maybe historical accident. Probably because I'm using Brickset a lot as a reference, and it's just easy to click "I own it" there. Loose parts I maintain directly in Basebrick, either by uploading Bricklink order data, or keying in PAB purchases.

Basebrick is quite good, and Marco (who runs it) is very responsive about questions and feature enhancements. I like it better than Rebrickable for maintaining and checking collection information. It's can-I-build-this-particular-set feature is (or was) a bit better than Rebrickable's. Where Rebrickable really shines is determining what sets you can build with your collection.

Kocke.si (our national LUG website and forum), Eurobricks and to a lesser extent Bricklink (it just turns out to be too expensive to check it all the time ). I used to visit Peeron quite regularly in the past but mostly kept away from it once it stopped being updated regularly, though I still use it from time to time for older sets' instructions.

Excluding online stores (e.g. BrickLink, BrickForge, BrickWarriors, BrickFortress), my favourites are:

- Brickset

- Classic Castle

- Brick Fanatics

- Brickish Association

- YouTube

YouTube isn't in the same mould as the others but it does have some great set reviews and other information of interest to FOLs.

And yes, I left EB out on purpose.

I know this is an old topic, but there is some great info and links here, and it would be nice to see what others may contribute. 

For me, The Brick Fan is my choice as far as news goes, especially when I don't have as much time to wander around here.

I do prefer Brickset over Bricklink for research of parts and sets since I find it more navigatable. But I will use Bricklink when Brickset's inventory may be incomplete.

If I'm not searching Flickr, The Brothers Brick highlights some great MOCs on a daily basis, and may bring to my attention a builder who I might not be familiar with.

One of the most interesting Lego Blogs I frequent is New Elementary, mentioned by a few posters here already. The blog hosts many contributors for new part contests, which showcase some amazing results, especially from the recent Lego Font and "Nexogon" contests. New part geometry posts there also make for some interesting reads.
