Elephant Knight Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I built this awhile ago, and after I modified it, I figured I ought to finally take some pictures. Galactica I feel that my mediocre picture taking don't do this MOC justice. As it is, this stands as one of my favorite MOCs I have ever built. Galactica Comments? Criticism? EKnight Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Very nice, but I still prefer the 1979 Galactica.......by the Lords Of Kobol Brick On 'EKnight' ! Quote
Merlin Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 That looks great :) I really like the engins and hangars. :) Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Really nice! The shape is very well captured! Quote
DraikNova Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Great technique for the exhausts, whatever it is. Quote
fred67 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Nice! I was expecting vipers and cylon fighters... I was pleasantly surprised. Great job! Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Wow. That is superb. So say we all! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Wow. That is superb. So say we all! Oh, man.....by the Lords Of Kobol .......I still wish this was a 1978 battlestar......that 2003 series ....sorry, I'm no fan of that at all. Quote
King Aragorn Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Nice compact design! I love the work made with panels for the exaust system! Quote
Brickscape Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Very nicely done! I've tried to replicate this ship at a small scale but haven't managed to come up with anything nearly this gorgeous. I absolutely love it. Any chance of instructions? Quote
Elephant Knight Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 Thank you for all the replies! Perhaps I might have to give a shot at the original Galactica now. I have only seen a few bits and pieces of the old stuff, so it will require some research. I would say there is 0% chance of instructions, sorry. I might take a picture of it 'blown up' a bit. Quote
Apollo VI Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 That is fantastic! I'd love to see some instructions. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 You can pick up the complete 1978 series on DVD set. It might look dated compared to modern sci-fi shows but it was one of the first major sci-fi series to use high quality effect that didn't involve rubber suit, a 3" toy rocket with fire extinguisher for smoking tailpipe, and obvious paper mache ball resembling rocks, etc. like many of the early 70's sci-fi and older.
