bmollema Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I loved the A-team van as a kid and wanted to build this in Technic Lego. This one can be played with in manual mode and remote controlled. It has 2 xL motors for driving and a m-motor for steering and a m-motor to switch between manual or RC mode. I only have 2 lights so I used these on the roof. I know the colors of the Van are different but I do not have enough of the dark grey to make to top parts grey and personally like the overall black look better. For the front and back axis I used the MPS system that Sheepo created. This A-team Van is about 50 studs long and 22 wide and 25 studs tall (about the same size as the Vampire of Paul or the 8070 supercar). It fake a fake 4 cylinder engine that runs in remote controlled but also when it is played in manual mode. Hope you like this creation... See more on http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/373657 Quote
z3_2drive Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Looks awesome! What are the two shock absorbers for that are under the hood? Quote
bmollema Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I used these so the doors open normal and do not bend downwards...hope i explained it correctly... Quote

bmollema Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I put it above the backseats... Great, i like it. Where have you hidden the batterie box? Quote

lukeandahalf Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Very nice work! I think I like most that it is either PFS or manual. These A-Team vans seem to be a recurring theme the last six months or So! Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Instantly recognizable :) Nice model Quote
bmollema Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 I made amodification in height to improve the scale a bit. Here also some photo's of the inside where the motors and switching is located. I improve the scale, the height is 1 stud higher which results in a bigger front window and higher doors. Which one do you like best? Quote
Rockbrick Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I liked its low-rider look originally as a truck - but as *the* A-team truck taller is better as its more like the original Quote
kermit Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Cool but it just seems a little too wide. Maybe its the angle of the photos that gives me that impression. Quote
iconq Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Wow, two fond memories from my childhood, The A-team and Lego, all together! Quote
