Wukong, the Journey to the West

Hi, everyone. my name is Lun and i come from HongKong

i have made custom minifigs since 2006.

This is my first time to post and share my custom minifigs outside Aisa. Hope u enjoy!

Wukong's hair is hand made and then produced by ABS. the following photos are taken during making!

Thanks all, I use "silica gel" under vacuum to make it become ABS.

O!yes! I like exo-force's hair style. These are japan style.

For this wukong minifig, I take wukong in "league of legends" as reference.

This is awesome! I saw this on ebay for a couple days and then it disappeared, are you selling these customs?

Yes, I planned to sell it on ebay at the beginning, but my ebay account is banned after serveral days. After that, this wukong is only sold in HK and becomes "special in HK".

Do you have a page / tutorial on what you use or how you turn your molding material into ABS?

Great job on the figure itself, and exceptional work on the hair (with crown!) as well. My only suggestion is that the face seems too "angry" for Wukong, who always seemed to me a more playful and mischievous character.

I think that the minifig is based on the Wukong character from the computer game which was inspired by the character Monkey from the Japanese telly series from the late '70s (which itself is based on Journey to the West). The Monkey character in the telly series could look pretty angry at times, especially just before a fight, so the minifig seems fine to me in that regard.

The minifig's hair is great by the way.
