J4ke Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Due to some incomprehensible decision-making by someone up the chain of command, I'm forced to swap the Headhunter for something a little more mundane. I feel like I've been demoted to bus driver. It doesn't even have big guns, besides one turret-mounted pea-shooter. I vaporize craft like these on strafing runs, and yet here I am. Oh well, orders are orders, and the Tatooine campaign is Priority One, or so I've been told. Hopefully I'll get to leave the dirt-pounding squaddies behind again soon enough. Either that, or I get upgraded to an actual combat speeder or hovertank, instead of something we bought off a bunch of pacifists... (Yeah, I'm back in the game. Apologies for the absence, real life got in my way and kicked me to the kerb. More pictures in this here photoset!) Quote
LegoFjotten Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Excellent work! Instantly recognisable speeder style, and yet a completely original build! I like pretty much everything here! The front is great, so are the engines, gun & seats. Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) The front of the speeder is well made. I think the engines suporters look a bit thin and should be reinforced somehow since they stick out quite a bit. The overalll look is really nice and it gives you the feel of those Tatooine flying thingies. Edited October 23, 2013 by MstrOfPppts Quote
pihlbrick Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) I agree that the engines stick out a bit, but I think it looks great - sort of Internatiol Space Station-ish and reminds me of the original Ywing design. Edited October 24, 2013 by pihlbrick Quote
parksroad Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Yeah, I like that the engines stick out--more of an Original Trilogy aesthetic Also really like the sort of fan-design of the front. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 The shaping is fantastic! That curved nose section, with all the different angles of different curved parts all lining up so nicely. But you also fit in some angular parts, and the thin supports of the gun and the engines look great. Quote
