Time to put my marker down, really impressed by the entries so far. So get ready for my first ever Eurobricks comp entry.

As soon as it was mentioned i had only this idea in mind.

I'll post some WIP pictures and stats on Sunday when I'm home.

OK time for some pictures

So far we have a Cockpit, a rough size for some wings and a basic chassis to be developed further including a Flat 6 engine (the seat is a place marker borrowed from my Unimog) ... oh and an unattached pickup bed that I'm still trying to work out

Not happy with the cockpit canopy at the moment I'll most probably change it be being made of axles and connectors rather than beams.

And I've still to consider how the wings are to attach ... and how to build the trailer too !

Well its a bit of a Dark Grey overload as I have the seat the same colour ... do all the parts of the engine count in the part count ?

Looks like a good start! Why shouldn't engine parts count? Only tracks and chains don't count...

How would you know already. He hasn't said anything as of your post.

@Technyk32231 why do you care?

The MOC is awesome, although I don't understand the engine parts bit either.

What I meant with the engine was for a piston you have the conrod and the piston and in my mind theyre a single part when combined ... Once I've put them together I never separate them. I think I'll be ok with the part count though. More pics to follow soon ... the truck is almost complete ... the glider has had some rework at the back and has the fuselage boom but no tailplane or wings ... I haven't touched the canopy either Jim ! ... and I haven't considered the trainer yet !

A quick update from me as I managed to get some LEGO-time this afternoon/evening and crack on with the builds.

The Glider (model 3) is now complete and runs in at about 410parts (from a very crude count). Well it's complete unless I think it needs a tweak,

The Pickup (model 1) is almost done, just requiring the bed to be done, but after doing the crude calc on the Glider I'm now concerned this is a million miles from the 500 part requirement! I'll have to try and get some time to count it ... and work out a way how too without breaking it down too far !

Model 2 ... well I still haven't started it ... pretty easy to guess what it will be too.

So here are the pictures, enjoy.

I think you should put more curves on the front of the truck. It looks too boxy. But the glider looks really nice!

i had exactly the same thought so i ripped up the body and its a bit more curvy.

It looks old.

And I have to agree that something is off about the truck, the wheelbase seem too small

it was originally meant to be an old style truck but i don't think it works

I've kept the wheelbase as i like the length of it esp with the new body

still need to do that part count too

new pics tomorrow.

As promised some pictures of the Truck MkII

I've still got a couple of tweaks to make to this but otherwise I think this is my Truck ... I think it looks a lot better not being black and having some shape to it now. Also hopefully you'll agree that the wheelbase and wheel/tyre size does actually work.

Much improved .... but would look way better if you replaced the rear license plate with the custom one from 41999 .... ... While you're at it, might as well use few silver beams from 41999 too (to match those wheels).

Thanks for the comments guys. I've added a further level of beams onto the surround for the rear bed which makes it nicer as it brings it up to the same height as the bonnet line at the a-post (yes I'm an automotive engineer by trade so please excuse any industry terms). As to the number plate, its actually the blank one from my 41999 set. I didn't use the numbered one (or the sticker) from 41999 as they refer to that particular set and so I think just a clean numberplate works best for this set. I've also since added a towbar assembly. So now it's just model 2 (the trailer) to go :)

Great!! Looking forward to it.

A video is not mandatory by the way. Some nice pictures will suffice.

OK I know I promised that I'd put my entry into the official thread this week.

Well there's a 'slight' problem (english sarcasm for any non-brits)

I decided to download LDD and over the past week I've built the 3 models in LDD ... and hence my problem has arisen as I'm now aware how out from the part limit I am ... and its embarassing to say the least ... but here's my issue

Model 1 - Truck - 653 Parts !

Model 2 - Trailer - 662 Parts !

Model 3 - Glider - 432 Parts

See at least I managed to get one model within the limit :classic: ... So the next week or so when I have time its going to be a manic ripping apart of the models to try and remove pins or beams but not lose stiffness or detail. A tough task I think ... hopefully I'll get it done in time to enter this !
