Sir Dillon Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The Forestmen and Wolfpack face off in a joust, during the renowned Forest Tournament. A Forestmen noble and his lady watch from a small tree pavilion while the two champions compete. [Gallery] Please let me know what you think. :-) Quote
Asuka Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 What a lovely scenery! *y* That tree is beautiful and your colors, especially for that runway, are great, these MFs are superb and you Quote
El Bucanero Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Sir, I think this would really make a chance to win the Joust category from that Castle contest. Great job! Mr Tiber Quote
simonwillems Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 This captures the castle feel in all it's classic ways! Great job. I especially like the sort of trampled terrain where the knights meet each other and try to push one another out of the saddle. Like mentioned before: the armour from the ninja's series look just right. It reminds me of building my forest hideout 6054 that I bought MISB last year somewehere in Germany... Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 Thanks for the replies, guys. :-) I think this would really make a chance to win the Joust category from that Castle contest. Thanks, but I tend to doubt that it'll win... there's some wicked good builders over on CC. 8- Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Have to say... the scenery is very nice! The giant tree is cool. KUTGW! -ZotS Quote
SWMAN Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Sweet custom scene. Love the idea of it. More people than just knights had jousts. Love the tree and the people, as well as the weapons racks. Makes it feel like a real joust, without the knights. Love the samurai armor and the evil bandit. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Excellent SD. You know I love the ForestMen. As always, you've created a nice MOC here. Quote
Norro Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 A beautiful wee scene.... though a forestman on horseback wit armour still strikes me as strange... God Bless, Nathan Quote
SuvieD Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I think a stronger color presence could have been used to increase the look. If you have red flags why not a red saddle and red goblets. Really anything to give it a more solid color scheme. I really like the idea of it though. The tree stand and the forest joust you have lloks really good as a MOC. I think you have a little too much for an LEGO set though. Quote

Excellent SD. You know I love the ForestMen. As always, you've created a nice MOC here. Hey, thanks. A beautiful wee scene.... though a forestman on horseback wit armour still strikes me as strange... Thanks. The whole Forestmen joust thing seems a bit strange to me too, but I wanted something different then the normal. I think a stronger color presence could have been used to increase the look. The tree stand and the forest joust you have lloks really good as a MOC. I think you have a little too much for an LEGO set though. Thanks for the reply. I think I understand what you mean with the color thing. I guess since I wanted to make the wolf pack as evil looking as possible, I didn't think of adding more red. I think I kind of got stuck in between with the whole set thing :-/ I made it a little too big for a set, but probably could've made it look a little better by adding more pieces... oh well. Thanks for all the replies guys. :-) Quote
