Spider droid as it has a spider droid a dwarf spider droid and 5 figs compared to the tank droids 3 figs and 1 tank I would say paying $10 more for 2 figs and an extra vehicle is worth it Quote
ablake90 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I swear I didn't dream it but I've seen some new figs coming out soon (can't remember which theme) but I looked at them and saw that they would be perfect to replace Watto's hands as the colour is almost spot on, can anyone help with which figures I may have seen? It's not a mistake. The US has a larger population, and more people buy LEGO. Britain has a smaller population, and LEGO raises their prices so they can make more money. Quote

That by itself makes it more expensive in UK, because GBP are worth more than USD. I think he has brought up a valid point, this particular set is MORE more expensive. It's not unprecedented though. Generally the £ value of a set is set the same as the $ value, until they creep towards $100, in which case the £ tends to be a little less. It is practically unheard of for a set to have a higher £ value than a $ value. You can see this in something like Fury class interceptor where it costs $89.99 and £79.99. I know in the US it's $50, but it changed in the UK constantly. Jor el was $75 and £50 Hulk was $50 and £25 Iron man with drone was $50 and £25 So am I right in thinking its £25? There's a lot of discussion about this promotion over in "Star Wars sets anyone?", so I'll move this over there. It's been asked, but it looks like no one is sure what the UK price will be. Quote
