casewindu Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 very nice town!! i *wub* your bus and the way you have the traffic lights hung up across the road! i also like the helicoptor! (i cant make anything at the moment because yesterday i broke my thumb and i have to type with one hand! :-D oh well i get the day off school! X-D Quote
Hobbes Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Very nice. I like how Arkham Asylum fits in. Is that one or two sets? I also like this hut a lot, very beach-y. The setup looks great but for me the "sunny" feeling is missing. Overall it has some "dark" look to it. Which I don't mind, it just doesn't fit to the topic title :-P ;-) Quote

maiq the liar Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Thank you, Mr. Liar. I hope I can believe you........ Well, the fire station, a crappy motel and a bin full of broken attempts to progress the city... I need: 1. a table (Meem wouldn't let me build it on the ground, plus, if i did put it on the ground the dogs would decimate it.) 2. More money (D*mn state on "Child" ((i'm a preteen)) labor laws and me being unable to get a good paycheck's worth of money as fast as you would in a job...>.<) Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 28, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 28, 2007 I didn't know you had such a big Lego collection oo7. You must have very good "sponsors" ;-) . I always love to see towns like this, with lots of details and scenes on the streets. Excellent work *y* Quote
oo7 Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Thank you all for your kind replies. *y* I really appreciate it. (And I'm surprised no one has mentioned my hedges yet) Nice. I really like how you made the traffic light. Thanks, Mr. Brickster. :-) No problem! I hope your city progress nicely! And i look forward to more pics of the firstation when you get time! :-) Sounds good, I haven't got to them yet, maybe I'll do it tomorrow. very nice town!! i *wub* your bus and the way you have the traffic lights hung up across the road!i also like the helicoptor! (i cant make anything at the moment because yesterday i broke my thumb and i have to type with one hand! :-D oh well i get the day off school! X-D That's really funny, I did the same thing just a couple weeks ago with my dominant (right) hand while playing dodgeball, but luckily I could still type as I only use my thumbs for the space bar......but it is a little hard with the Lego though! :-D That bus looks nice from the outside but the inside is pretty impractical as it's built on this piece, as it's strongly based off this set. I'm planning on totally revamping it. Very nice. I like how Arkham Asylum fits in. Is that one or two sets?I also like this hut a lot, very beach-y. The setup looks great but for me the "sunny" feeling is missing. Overall it has some "dark" look to it. Which I don't mind, it just doesn't fit to the topic title :-P ;-) 1. One set. 2. Hmm.....that's my pub....does it really look like a hut? 8-| 3. Is that because I don't have pristine lighting or my buildings look too gloomy? Nice town And your beach is very nice I'm glad you enjoyed it, Mr. Ruben! *sweet* That Quote
maiq the liar Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Added to Lego Codex map 2.0! (See http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/toast-of...x/codexver2.jpg when validated. Albrickerque is my town. as you may notice, it was called "Radio city in the older version.) Quote
oo7 Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Yay, I'm on the charts! Seriously, what are you doing with that there map? Is that part of your 'Block City' franchise? Also, I don't see the point in including Mr. Kenney's Greenwich Village, as that specifically is located in New York City........ 8-| :-) BTW: Deep links do not need to be validated Quote
maiq the liar Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Just trying to Map out major cities for easier reference, and use for the city's locations in Stop-Motions and comics, ETC. (I'll remove seankenny's place in ver. 2.08.) Edit-Ver. 2.05 (newest Version)-http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/toast-of-demise/LegoCodex/codexver2pointf5.jpg Quote
zeki Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Nice town. Can someone add links for all the town pictures on that map? Quote
Asuka Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Just cause I'm curious do mean HP bricks or HP minifigs? And that house is nice but it doesn't even come close to the new one of 2007, so I won't bother with it. ;-) Bricks, especially those roof pieces. Quote
oo7 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 Because I am strangely impulsive I give you the minifigs! The people that have specific jobs; Fisherman:Bus Driver:Shrimper:Guardbooth:Pushcart Merchant:Bank Manager:Beach Hut Merchant:Postman:Public Works:Public Works:Business Man:Chef:Doctor:Doctor: :Mime: The younger civilians; The older/middle-age civilians; Civilians that didn't fit in the picture; Anachronisms; Inanimate objects; Quote
oo7 Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 Hokay, here are some pictures I took today of my modified Imperial Trading Post integrated into my city. My camera must have been running out of battery as I took that last one.....and others that I didn't post.... 8-| Anyway, I'm particularly proud of this one: X-D Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 5, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 5, 2007 Should the Trading Post be seen as a historic building in your modern town? Like a tourist attraction? Quote
oo7 Posted May 5, 2007 Author Posted May 5, 2007 Good question......let's say it's a national historic landmark which is hosting a historical reenactment today. ;-) X-D Quote
Asuka Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Wow. What a great collection of MFs and what a wonderful and lovely scenery with your Imperial Trading Post. Your excellent pictures shows us an overall rich and beautiful layout. Well done! *y* Quote
