This thing is huge! Even the turbine blades were curved, very cool

I think it was discovered sometime ago that part of building process involved glueing to create impossible shapes and brick connections. That says much.

Yeah, they glued parts to make impossible connections, I saw it in a Lego magazine a few years ago.

So that's where all the grey went!!! It maybe half scale, but it could be full scale of some jet engines. Anyways that's HUGE!!!

I know it had to have a metal frame, but how hard can it be to avoid impossible connections at that scale? I just consider that a big plastic engine IMO. That is truly impressive though, impossible connections or not.

This is an awesome model. I had a few meals with Ed Diment at the last Brickfair show, where he gave a talk on how this model was built. Apparently they had to limit the speed for safety reasons at public exhibitions, as running it faster actually generates significant airflow.
