Commander Wolf Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Finally got around to uploading some pictures! First, a slight modification to the 6541 container ship: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04245.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04246.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04247.jpg This next one is a rather old propellor driven hovercraft (Not in the traditional sense, but in the space sense; there has to be a better word for this!): http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc02181.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc02191.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc02193.jpg Recently, the same idea manifested itself in a propellor driven container hovercraft. This one has contra-rotating propellors and a clutch: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04230.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04231.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/BradlyCo...ce/dsc04240.jpg This next one is simply what I thought was a rather nice engine for my ongoing project. Finally, a spacecraft that deserved its own page: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/28933 Your throughts are appreciated! Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 These are very cool. I'm not sure I feel the big yellow engines on the back of your first MOC, but I fully appreciate the big propellor on your second MoC and the modular elements and overall indusrial design of your Tsuruka. My favourite is, however, your Cargo Hovercraft. The colour scheme I love, the propellors I also love. It comes together really well. Overall, great batch of MOCs. Keep building. Quote
Asuka Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Very beautiful and ingenious. *y* I really like your ships and your approach to technological and practical aspects. Your propeller driven hovercraft (flux-operated, I guess? X-D ) is very neat and elegant, your container ship is impressive and that container hovercraft is very distinct. And, of course, your Tsuruka is a wonderful and comprehensive work, clear in form and function. Lovely! *wub* EDIT: Spaceships, of course. I Quote
Commander Wolf Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 The idea for the modified 6541 ship comes from some of Arthur Clarke's early short stories in which he refers to spacecraft as "liners". That always made me think of a space-Titanic cruising through space. It's a spaceship... no pun intended XD If I had more "Maersk Blue", I'd have modded the Sealand instead. Quote
