Lazarus Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Hello All. So first off I hope I am aloud to put this version on here due to the issues of the last ones i put up annoyed some people due to them being clones/copys/remakes. SO first up the basic model is copied of Michael Gales work, what you can find here. http://www.flickr.co...ale/8982777747/ And after some nice comments I was advised the above version would not be the type of Brake van that would of been used by Rail freight. So i went to work on converting it to a "20 Ton Brake Van" that was used by rail freight to match my Locos i have been designing. So i hope there is enough changes to the base model to not class this as a clones/copy/remake and base it as an inspired model. Edited September 29, 2013 by Lazarus Quote
Selander Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Brake.... Not break. Nice model optically, but I doubt it'll follow other rolling stock in turns.... with a static chassis 22studs lenght, I believe you cannot attach fixed magnet couplings in each end. One way to fix it is to design couplings so they can rotate. Edited September 29, 2013 by Selander Quote
JopieK Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 @Selander, fixed that ;) Thanks! The Brake van looks very nice too! Quote
Lazarus Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Thanks for the info Selander and sorry my spelling is not that good :-) I have made the changes, thanks i would of not noticed that till i built it. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 That does look a lot better than before. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 When I see such a magnificent work I hear a voice that whispers to me "build"! Great wagon! Quote
Selander Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If you build it IRL you can check if the coupler pivot points are OK as you designed, or if they need to be moved inwards. Trial and error... Good luck ;-) Quote
