nicjasno Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 Thats an astonishing number of box frames! Those box frames are a true godsend. Quote
nicjasno Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Doesn't quite fit. Oh well, we'll have to use inline engines and/or electric propulsion. Quote
AttentionSpanner Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Maybe you could use some of the smaller pneumatic cylinders? Looks like it would be more "in-scale", but unsure whether it will be powerful enough... http://s17.postimg.org/wgownjqsf/pneumatictable.jpg The frame looks really cool though!!! Quote
nicjasno Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 I'm aware of them and have made engines with them. But i'll try to make an electric drivetrain, to make the car fully r/c. Maybe with a 2 speed automatic gearbox. Quote
Aleh Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Cant wait to build your car! Hope this time you'll fimish the project! Quote
Epic Technic Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 The car looks great, really well done! Maybe you could make a small engine by using the fake Lego engine components, like this. I would definitely recommend you to look at his channel for more videos and info about the engine. I'm not sure if it would have enough power to move the E30, but with your skills, I'm sure you could improve it. Quote
nicjasno Posted July 8, 2016 Author Posted July 8, 2016 Maybe a fake i6 that just looks the part and an electric motor setup hidden underneath. Quote
Boxerlego Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Great looking model. If only the LPE engine could fit, that would be neat to see working. I support the idea for using Magnetic Power Electric motors are always a good reliable choice for a model this size. Quote
AttentionSpanner Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Well, you could use a similar engine + motors setup as Sheepo has on the front of his Land Rover Defender (with more motors, obviously)... Does that mean you'll include a gearbox like the one from LPE Power Episode 1 too? Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Doesn't quite fit. Oh well, we'll have to use inline engines and/or electric propulsion. (image) Looks like extreme drag racing tuning. So, it fit model somehow) Quote
AttentionSpanner Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Looks like extreme drag racing tuning. So, it fit model somehow) It looks more like someone decided to stick a huge boat engine in front of an E30... Maybe a fake i6 that just looks the part and an electric motor setup hidden underneath. Or even an I4, like the S14 engine found in the M3... Quote
J_C Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 How to put engine from Spitfire into your car in 5 easy steps. It is bonkers, but I like it. Quote

Didumos69 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 This remains to be a very interesting build. One thing I couldn't help noticing: The u-joints for the rear axles are not aligned to obtain constant velocity: Quote
nicjasno Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 True. I did not pay attention to this when assembling. Quote
