CMP Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Brienne was also "covering" someone that day and was not seen in the conclusion. My guess is that it isn't shown unless the target is attacked. Because I did use my cover ability. "I wasn't attacked when Brienne was covering me. And she Covered herself on day one." "I think it's only shown in the conclusion when you Cover somebody else - which you said you were doing." Edited September 5, 2013 by CallMePie
Duvors Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) "Weel, if ye'll all excuse me, I have tae go play wi a rubber duck, I'll see you later." (I'm most likely to be away for the rest of tomorrow, so I won't be able to do anything for some time.) Edited September 5, 2013 by Lord Duvors
Waterbrick Down Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 So we seem at an impass, on the one hand those who provide cover are only shown doing so when an attack is initiated and not when there is no attack or those providing cover are always shown when they do so attack or no. If it is the latter case then I am curious as to why we didn't see the attack as we have in all of the other cases. Perhaps Brienne can provide some insight considering she protected on Days 1 and 2 but was only shown doing so on Day 2. *I mean former*

"I think it's only shown in the conclusion when you Cover somebody else - which you said you were doing." I was pretty sure she was shown blocking damage at some point. I can only tell you what happened. I protected Ysp the first day and she wasn't attacked. I got the result, I don't know why it wasn't shown if my earlier theory about that isn't why. I'm not the one running this show, the veterans are. There's a flaw in your theory somewhere. I'm obviously not privvy to all your information, so it you're not evil, you're just plain wrong about something. I'm inclined to believe that you're evil. It makes things simpler.

Other self-affecting actions, I.e. Zpilf's Hide, also weren't shown. Others-affecting actions have always seemed to be shown, as wellas actions that involve the addition of items into play (purchasing, Mixtures, bomb crafting). Therefore if we assume that when you provide Cover to another, it should be shown. So why wasn't Correllon seen .covering .ysp? Because she didn't.

CorneliusMurdock Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I get it. All you have is my word. That means something to my people but I understand that halflings know no honor. I've told you all that I can. You have no proof against me other than your theory about me not being shown in the conclusion. It's not proof. People were shown doing other things without targeting anyone. People made bomb, mixtures. What really started this, though, was me coming out against your "kill everyone" plan. Let's not forget the timing here. You steal from people, you kill people, you've encouraged others to kill people. I've protected people. Mostly myself, I'll admit. I trust myself the most and unlike you, I don't have a pre-made team to protect me.

Let's wait till we get a comment from Brienne so we can straighten this out. Corelin, no attack was seen but I would describe the situation as still murky. Calico, like I tole Corelin, it's still murky so don't you go jumping to conclusions either, and Kharybdis while your theory is good, we still don't have enough info to say one way or another.}

CorneliusMurdock Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 "You genuinely read that as "let's kill everyone"? I was referring to the three spellcasters under suspicion. Whose suspicion, yours? And I've caught a Nephilim. You haven't. I'm sorry, where did you do this wonderful thing all by your lonesome? And how many loyal members of Heroica fell because of you before that one? And I know very well your stance on protection, more than you might think." How mysterious. Why don't you let everyone in on whatever you allude to? Or are you just hoping that some people will assume you actually know something and go after me?

CorneliusMurdock Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 That's what happens when someone hits you with a confusion spell. Was that done on your orders?
Kadabra Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 What a coincidence that you, who is under suspicion to be Nephilim, 'accidentally' protected Shadir, also suspected to be Nephilim. Also interesting that you're accusing us of Mage genocide and yet we apparently have one who trusts us enough to use detrimental spells on other heroes on our command.
Scubacarrot Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 U'dargan. Screw you. You arrogant piece of ancient Dastan history. Who do you think you are? You were totally suspicious, and your actions were dumb as I don't even know what! Also, Kharybdis, your conclusions suck once again. I protected Shadir as one of the people I protected. For no reason? sure, but no one is telling me shit, Why are you being trusted again, Kharybdis? I mean, I trust the ones that killed Ezeal, they're alright, you? Not so much. I personally have prevented many deaths already, and I will go as far as to say the reason no one was killed tonight was me. I protected twelve people, to be precise. Suck it, Nephilim.

Who was it that you didn't want me to protect last night? Who did you think I was going for?

You should also note that while I didn't literally kill Ezeal, Brienne, Calico and .i were the ones who got him killed. (.Hell, I even con induced Theodor to make the first attack in him.)

And we're sorry you're not involved with everything, but I'm sure you can understand why, considering you threatened all of us with death at one point or another, and you were dealing with at least one, likely two people that are scum. I don't know if you've noticed. but WHEN you do things, is almost as important as what you do here. I concluded that if Correllon were Heroican, she'd likely have protected herself, not a lurker who has contributed little or nothing to the scum hunt, Sure. Kill her. Go for it. It's better reasoning than you had while killing Piro.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 You protected Shadir. We know this because Swinehurst made an arak on Shadir and was told that it failed because you blocked it. I can't help who I randomly protected when confused. You knew I would be. And you didn't answer my questions. There aren't many of us left that can protect others. Brienne is obviously with you. Who did you think I would be protecting that you wanted dead? I'm guessing it was someone that the Minstrel here protected or they'd be dead.

I don't know if you've noticed. but WHEN you do things, is almost as important as what you do here. But protecting half the hall is just as detrimental to us as it is to them, since it prevents us from acting on our suspicions. Really, Legion and Swinehurst are the only ones we can all agree should be protected on a regular basis, since apparently Calico, Brienne, and I have fallen out of favor as town leaders. That doesn't make protecting lurkers a good strategy, though.
