Governor Mister Phes Posted August 25, 2013 Governor Posted August 25, 2013 The Alegorías or allegories is a tradition here in Cusco as part of the festivities for the anniversary of the city every month of June. Students of the Escuela de Bellas Artes Diego Quispe Tito build huge sculptures a few days before the Inti Raymi feast and walk around the main square. The sculptures depict a variety of topics from animals to politicians and local people really enjoy watching them. Each float has its own group of musicians and even dancers. At the end, a jury choses the best sculptures. Source http://peruenroute.w...alegoria-cusco/ Quote
