monsinjor Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Hello. Here is the creation I made last night... It is about a TV crew filming the documentary in the jungle. Overview: The crew: The path to the cave: The cave... BUUUUUUU Well, that's it. Hope you like it. Have a nice day! Quote
kermit Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Nice moc with all the trees and the boom. Wouldn't this fit better in another forum like the historic one? Edited August 22, 2013 by kermit Quote
glendo Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 it needs a Sir David Attenborough... looks fantastic Quote
monsinjor Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Thanks! I thought it needs to be here since the TV crew comes from a town But if not, I kindly ask the mods to move it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Excellent jungle and great camera/sound equipment 'monsinjor'......Brick On ! Quote
eurotrash Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Really good vegetation, a great looking 'cave' and the composition of the images you've used is very effective - it gives the sense of a dense jungle with danger around every turn! Thanks for sharing it with us! Quote
TenorPenny Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It's an original idea, well executed. Old school minifig parts use is cool, also! Quote
lifeinplastic Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 A nice little MOC Monsinjor - The 'cave' is pretty frightening and reminds me of some old Playmobil sets which had a Jungle Exploration theme. It would be nice to have similar sets released in Lego as part of a modern day 'World Explorers' line with tourists visiting different areas of the globe and would include new animals, transport, monuments and scenery. A jungle set like this would also enable us to have more trees and plant life to use in other themes. I particularly like the dense foliage used in this MOC and the lighting and shadows created gives us the impression of being in a hot jungle with the sunlight creeping through the forest canopy. harton Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Great idea! I really like the use of the old school minifigures! We have the impression of being there. I also notice the stair, good touch with the 1x1 trans green. Well done Quote
monsinjor Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate. I also love those 90's minifigures. To bad LEGO doesn't make it anymore... Quote
jimmynick Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Yeah, I love the old 90s feel as well. One comment: perhaps you could make the head of the boom mike out of a clip like this and a 1x1 round brick? What you use at the moment looks a little unwieldy. Quote
gifinim Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 That's a seriously nice bit of work on the jungle, and well done for getting such good photos of it! Quote
escortmad79 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Needs one more pic of the crew with looks of panic, running away from the gorilla suit guy CMF Quote

I'll have that in mind for future builds. I used this solution because those mikes are bigger, at least I saw so. That's a seriously nice bit of work on the jungle, and well done for getting such good photos of it! Thanks gifinim. Needs one more pic of the crew with looks of panic, running away from the gorilla suit guy CMF Thanks escortmad79, that's great idea. Sadly, kids already disassembled it while playing. Quote
timmyc1983 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Lovely little MOC, I particularly like the foliage you have created and the camera/audio gear is nice touch too Fantastic work! Happy building Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Nice work in particular with the jungle  Quote
