Mike S Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) Masa was nearly ready to start out for Cedrica when he had another visitor. It was quite a surprise for Masa to see an older Mitgardian gentleman standing at the entrance of his tent. "Greetings," Masa said. The old man looked him over from head to toe. "You must be Masa." "Indeed I am," Masa replied. The old man pulled out one of the letters Masa had sent out to the four Guilds of Historica. "My name is Lasvor Nirhad and I'm here to help you in your search for the ingredients." "How on earth did you find me here?" Masa asked. "The letter says to meet me in Cedrica." "I'm a MItgardian so finding you was no trouble at all" the old man stated. "We all are expert trackers. However books and letters have never been one of my strong points," he added a bit sheepishly. "No matter," Masa told him. "It will be good to have a companion for the road and as I plan to collect one of the ingredients on my way, an extra pair of eyes will make it quicker." As the old man was tired from his travel to find Masa, the two decided to wait for the next morning to set out. The path they took was straightforward for as soon as they had reached Queenscross, the northern road led straight to Cedrica. However before they arrived in Cedrica, Masa hired a boat to take them across the great lake to the other side near the Kaliphlin/Nocturnus border. Masa explained to Lasvor that the ingredient he was looking for was a cursed pumpkin and that he hoped to find one in the cursed land along the Kaliphlin/Nocturnus border. After they had gone ashore, they pushed their way through the countryside and soon came upon a pumpkin field. And just as Masa had hoped, they soon spotted the object of their search. WIth one of the ingredients for the potion found, the two made their way to Cedrica to meet the others. [Click here for part 3] Edited August 18, 2013 by Masa of Kaliphlin Quote
Yooha Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Incredible! It is so good to see my character in someone else's story. And the reason he came to the desert instead of Cedrica is very close to the truth... Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 The trees in the background look amazing! I really like the dense feel they create Cool pumpkin patch as well Thanks for doing an example build Quote
Gideon Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Wonderful forest! You have really nailed the living but gloomy/cursed atmosphere that I really think we could see more of in Nocturnus. I mean, it can't be all lava and rotting swamps, can it? Even the Nocturnians (well, maybe not the undead) would need to grow some food I suppose? . Good to have an example of the type of scene we can build, I think this scale is just about what my time will permit this time. I just need to find out which ingredient Gideon will be looking for Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I love this! And as Gideon says kudos on the Nocturnian theme. I'm puzzling over how to do a Nocturnian farm! You've definitely given me food for thought! :P haha Quote
