Raising the Dead – Collecting the Pieces Chapter 1 Part 3

When Masa and Lasvor arrived in Cedrica all the other heroes of Historica had already arrived so they all gathered at Masa's temporary headquarters in Cedrica. This was merely a few rented rooms in the nicer part of the city that had not been damaged during the Revolword War.

Masa was impressed by all who had volunteered. "It is with much gratitude I now speak to you," Masa began. "Especially to our brothers from the north, whose number of volunteers for this quest is astounding. Thankfully with having so many volunteers, now instead of each of you having to search for two or three ingredients, you each will only have to search for one." And so Masa revealed to the waiting heroes the list of ingredients needed to make the potion of the Kiss of Life.

I had thought to make a list for which to assign to each of the volunteers but upon further consideration I thought it would be best to leave more freedom for your creativity. I made a sample MOC of searching for an ingredient in Part 2 to give you somewhat of an idea of what to build.

I'm hoping you will be creative here and build some exciting and unexpected MOCs. I'm hoping to see originality, quality and creativity over size. Happy adventuring and building! Deadline is September 21. Also when you have decided what ingredient you are going to build please let us know here in this thread just as to avoid duplicate ingredients.

Superb interior, I'm always impressed with how you combine different pieces to gain new textures/designs. What stood out to me in this build: the cabinet on the left, using the crates and topping them off with the chest lid works really well The arch patterns in between the gold pillars, staggering several different arches and then including the gold tubing gives a really neat effect

I'm looking forward to what everyone comes up with for their builds and will start thinking of the ingredient I'll be finding

I had started making a list but then I decided it would give you more creative freedom to come up with the ingredient you are to find yourself. So you basically make up the ingredient to find.

What Socerkid said. The colors are awesome here. The candles are pretty clever. Are those bookends on the top shelf? I like that you used the book piece a lot. That's a very underused piece in my opinion. Keep'em coming.a

Wonderful interior, I especially like the furniture! What piece is used for the top of the cabinet to the left? It matches the crate pieces so well

I would like to see more of the heroes, do you have any more pictures from different angles?

CBB: I also think it is nice to see "real" lego books, its just a shame that they get those ugly white "stretchmarks" when closed...

Where do we post our MOCs for this challenge? I have made a small vignette (owing to my limited amount of bricks) and I don't know whether to create a separate thread or just post it in here- or both. What should I do?

I don't have any more photos yet but when I find some time I can photograph all the heroes facing the camera.

And one more thing after I saw Dragonfire's post: Not having a list for the ingredients can lead to a situation I came across: I wanted to make a story where my ingredient is a "sacred liquid" which would be too similar to Dragonfire's part. Changing my story won't be a problem, but this time I would share with the othes that - unless I had to change again - I would like to collect "flame from a sacred fire". I hope none else had this idea. If more of us needs many days to complete their scene, I recommend to share what each ingredient will be, to avoid having 3 scenes involving magic treeleaves or hair from a monstreous animal. Or if you think my idea is unimportant, than please ignore it

Good idea, I actually had thought of that but then as I've been busy of late, it totally slipped my mind when I posted. Deadline is 30 days from today and once you figure out what your ingredient will be, please mention it in this thread.

My ingredient will be the fang of a tiger. I'm still thinking up the history for tigers in Historica, but I have the build planned out.
