JTS Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 A 2L pin with a 1L axle on could be useful, but I can't spot any such thing anywhere. Guess we'll have to wait for the release or for more pics to come. Personally I see some interesting and useful parts on the snow mobile. I'm curious too. And had anybody spotted the elusive 5 axle with stop in the wild yet? Quote

Saberwing40k Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Are we getting 2 new types of steering arm? 1x4 1x5 What set has the new pins in it? I can't seem to find them. Look at the top of the roll cage on 42027. That DBG pin is the new one.At least, I hope it is. Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 There's no doubt - set inventories for 2014 are going to be interesting! Quote

Jim Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 new photos of the up coming 2014 sets Hi, Like Allan said, it's not allowed to post (embed or attach) preliminary images. Deeplinking is allowed. These pictures were already posted earlier in this topic, so I removed them. Quote
cornish Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 hey what ever! I was only trying to help. Quote
1974 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 That just looks like a 3/4pin,but saying that they are changing the color of those to tan... I agree. Also, beams will be pink only. Axles will be the new azure blue and bushings will be orange. Gears will be lime green. Pneumatics will be phased out and everything will be PF powered through tiny LAs. It's all about TLG's masterplan to make allanp go bonkers. You heard it here first There's no doubt - set inventories for 2014 are going to be interesting! I don't think so, 2014 will be less interesting, regarding new parts, compared to the last couple of years. At least that's what I've heard/seen Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I agree. Also, beams will be pink only. That's one way to get more girls into technic. Quote

At least that's what I've heard/seen It is a pity that no models in the new line-up are pneumatic. From what I've seen, pneumatics do work more fluidly and take more time and effort to implement, and I would like to try it. Maybe I spoke too soon with the inventories. I actually can't see many new-new parts aside from these axle parts we've been talking about. Quote
allanp Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 To be fair, there might be some desire among FFOLs for a technic car, like a mid sized cabriolet coupe in mostly white with some teal and purple flourishes and some discrete stickers and softer, more rounded edges (think the opposite of the very manly looking boss crawler), and maybe a nicely detailed, brick built interior with a fake stereo and so on. Of course it would also have an engine and suspension and all that good stuff. Like this but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more subtle and grown up to the point where us guy might also like it and not immediately realise it's a womans car, like an Audi TT! Quote
zux Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Well it looks like when girls are into Technic they seem not to care about girlish colors at all :) Quote

TechnicHead41 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 About the new parts that eventually appear in the new sets i did manage to save some of the text from Technicbricks before it was removed from the side. The Dog Bone beam (LBG) is a new type of beam/frame. A 3x5 beam with a form similar to a dog bone. Somehow resembling the recent Technic frames like the 5x11 (64178). Long axle pin with friction ridges (in DBG). It is a 3L pin similar to 43093, but with double length on the pin side (2+1L). A very useful element IMO, which I've been missing occasionally when building with Technic. A new type of worm gear with 3L overall (DBG for the pre-production seen in one model, LBG as seen in the catalog). It has axle bush connectors at each side, hence it does not have the sliding function from the traditional 2L worm gear (4716) anymore. The worm gear itself is quite shorter than the former one and it is placed in the center module. Given the differences between them, I think it is unlikely that the new element came to replace the previous one. New steering elements for small scale models Steering arm with rounded towball socket (LBG), similar to 57515 but in a single beam form factor. I mean 1L wide, hence no fork shape like in previous steering arm elements. New type of connector that works with the new steering arms above (Black colored). A small element not easy to describe as I don't remember all the exact details, but it has a 3L shape with one pin-hole in the center. Steering gear (Black if I remember right), similar to 32186, but where the 3 ball joints connect directly to the center pin-hole, instead of two and one third with 1L displacement. All in all, the new steering elements will allow to easily add steering functions, into even smaller classes of LEGO Technic vehicles. A new type of Tire for the 56145 wheels (30,4mm x 20mm), with higher profile and a tread similar to that on 32019 or the much larger 92912 Unimog tires. The same approximate proportions and appearance in a smaller tire. Didn't remember to memorize the tire dimensions, usually embossed at the side of some LEGO tires like these. In fact you may eventually recall that Niels told us once, we were going to see new tires in 2013 and 2014 [1] ... And finally new 3 x 11 Technic panels (White). The same we have seen images some years ago, used into an early prototype of the 8110 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U400 [2]. Quote

Junpei Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I am guessing they are this shape? O O O O O O O O O With sideways pinholes here and there? Those new tires look like they would be great for truck trial. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 But do we not have two different sizes of steering arm, count the pin holes and tell me if you get two different lengths. Quote
captainmib Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 no, it's 4. just count the holes on both. the bottom one is attached to the chassis. It can't be 5 long because there is a white beam next to it... Quote
