Alasdair Ryan Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Curiosity rover with 6x power puller wheels? I doubt the lego group will be reintroducing the power puller wheels. Edited November 4, 2013 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Jim Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Curiosity rover with 6x power puller wheels? Curiosity wheels = 50cm diameter, PP wheel ~ 10cm diameter, scale = 1:5 dimensions = 2.9m long, 2.7m wide, 2.2m high, scaled = 58cm long, 54cm wide. 44cm high. That may actually be a possibility! It would be rather large, and possibly set a new part count record for Technic, but it would definitely be the best Technic set ever! Sounds like fun, but the wheels cannot be made of rubber, if they mimic the real rover. Has to do with air pressure (if I'm not mistaken) and obviously the weight would be an issue. But I do like the idea of a rover flagship. Would be awesome. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Imagine what you could do with wheels like those on the rover! Quote
N-4K0 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Ha! I have said that already in this topic :). I must have missed that and yes, the cargo plane provides a bunch of parts to be used. Maybe the plane is a sign towards a re-issue of the space shuttle? Quote
skriblez Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Would love a re-issue of the space shuttle. New micro motor! Quote
D3K Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I'm really curious about the b model of the plane! With that many panels, and a lack of wheel-vehicle parts, TLG really has a chance to rediscover their creative sides! Hoping for a very clever boat, submarine, or maybe even a space shuttle!:-D A sailing boat would be cool! But would have to include lots of string, so I'm guessing not... Quote

Jim Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Hi I am new to this site, does anyone know what is going to be the 2014 flagship? cheers Hi, welcome to EB! We've just seen the first pictures of 1H 2014 sets. Most of the time (especially recent years) the flagship is a 2H set. Quote
Technyk32231 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Man, I need an excuse to buy more Legos. That snowmobile is cool, and has some parts I've been looking forward to. Quote

skppo Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Just a heads up, if you havn't seen the images yet. Brickshelf user Leiutaja12 has the preliminary pictures uploaded (at least when this was written) I'm not linking the pictures here as I'm not sure on the policy. Quote
Jim Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 You can create a link to his Brickshelf site. That's no problem. Quote

Jim Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Discussed in another topic (bit off topic), but Blue seems to be the new Yellow/Red. Five of the sets contain blue. I guess Lego did listen to our suggestion/wish. Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Are we getting 2 new types of steering arm? 1x4 1x5 What set has the new pins in it? I can't seem to find them. Quote
Junpei Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I think its only 1x4 steering arms, not including the towball part. I guess we'll see which set has the new pins in it two months from now, but I'm 99% sure there are at least a few in the airplane. Quote

I can't see any in the plane, how do we know we are getting a new type of pin. I am fairly sure however that I am seeing two different size's of steering arms in the snowmobile. N-4K0 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 A 2L pin with a 1L axle on could be useful, but I can't spot any such thing anywhere. Guess we'll have to wait for the release or for more pics to come. Personally I see some interesting and useful parts on the snow mobile. Quote
